This probably has been asked before but my search did not turn up anything.

If you could have just one knife, what brand & model would it be? And why?

Just one, It would be a Benchmade Grip. Good steel. Basicily 154CM unless you should get one of the D2 models from Cabelas or the Doug Ritter with S30V. Good construction, good lock up with the Axis lock. Cost effective. Not the most beautiful knives but pretty doesn't cut.

I'd probably go Benchmade Mini-Skirmish. Great all-around size, materials, and design. A D2 blade on one would be pretty awesome, or some other high end carbon steel.

Of those I've owned, the Mission MPF-1, probably one of the best utility/survival knives made. Completely reliable titanium handle, screws, and frame-lock.

I think I would go with a Chris Reeve Sebenza. However I do like the Benchmade 940, Spyderco Millie STR framelock converted, STR custom folder, Benchmade 804, Benchmade Mini Ritter to name a few. If I could find one for sell I would like a Rick Hinderer XM 18 non flipper 3 inch satin finish. Then I would choose between it and the Sebenza. This is a tough question because there are a lot of good ones to pick from. GOOD LUCK! Kevin :D:thumbup::D

If I could have only one knife, it would be the Busse Active Duty in its original iteration - Custom Shop satin finish, snakeskin micarta, 0.150" thick. This is small enough to serve as an EDC and big enough for 90% of all fixed blade chores. for the other 10% I could buy an axe.

as always, the milie ...but lately...after getting that buck 112 , and ordering another one + one 110...damn, i like that classic knife so much, yet is so different from the spyderco milie, which i also enjoy alot
tough choice, indeed
i cant answer to this one....not now

If I could only have one. Strider PT-CC. It works like a big knife , even though the blade is under 3" , carries well , cuts well and fits my hand purfectly.

Thankfully , I wont ever have to limit myself to just one knife :)

You might go have a look in Whine and Cheese just now.

It's against the rules to link to there, but not to mention that there have been 8,000 other threads like this one. :p :D

Oh, and I'd want a Busse Anorexic Badger Attack. :p
