If You Could Have Just One Knife...

I would have to go with my Brian Goode Companion. It is one tough knife that gets scary sharp.

Folder - or one, period, it'd be a Buck 110 Custom - maybe my latest in fg asian water buffalo & BG-42 - or the teardrop Damascus/flaming Koa:

If it was to be a fixed blade, it would be either My Bark River natural canvas Micarta Gameskeeper or Bocote-handled Boone - a toss-up. You know, fixed blades are a 'bear' for me to decide... I still like the old KaBar - and, wow - a Buck 408 Kalinga Pro in S30V. I guess for utility, that Gameskeeper would fill the bill.

For me a big SAK with a lock for the flexibility, or otherwise a decent Laguiole.

Any knife that I could purchase from some place OTHER than getafreeknife.com or The Knife Connection.

EDIT: I was premature in thinking this company was spamming, so I retract the above statement for now, and probably longer. It seems to be a case of honest mistake, and not intended spamming.

Probably just a good old but minty Buck Esquire 501 lockback in 440C and Micarta done up like the one I just did for a customer today.

Super way to go for a perfect gents folder for dress or a working man's folder for EDC IMO and one set up like this could easily be all the knife I'd ever need in a folder so if I had to pick one folder and only one this would be it I think based on my impression of this one.

If Benchmade made the Griptillians in zdp189, it'd be my choice. But they don't so it's a Spyderco StretchII in zdp189.

The original Excalibur.

I mean, guys, he didn't limit us to this century or even to reality.
