If You Could Have Just One Knife...

I would go with my Lone Wolf Double Duty. It is an automatic that can be also opened with the blade thumb hole; it has an S30V blade and seems darn near indestructable. I use it for everything from cutting sheetrock, flooring tile and carpet to pryng other knives apart and pruning in the '"yard" (4.5 acres).

If only one, then it has to be small enough to EDC in an urban environment. Flying (front spine only) Active Duty w/ Black Crinkle & Orange Raptor G-10 :) .

Folder - or one, period, it'd be a Buck 110 Custom - maybe my latest in fg asian water buffalo & BG-42 - or the teardrop Damascus/flaming Koa:

If it was to be a fixed blade, it would be either My Bark River natural canvas Micarta Gameskeeper or Bocote-handled Boone - a toss-up. You know, fixed blades are a 'bear' for me to decide... I still like the old KaBar - and, wow - a Buck 408 Kalinga Pro in S30V. I guess for utility, that Gameskeeper would fill the bill.

So, was that you who showed me the Water Buffalo 110 at
Denise's Diner on Wednesday?

If I could just have one knife, I'd sever whatever it is that makes people start so many of these threads.

And my answer is my Hinderer XM-18:

How about something like Buster Warenski's repro of King Tut's knife so I an sell it for a fortune and buy all the knives I like.:D
If I can't do that I would like Deryk Munroe's Chimera Elite. Its got a titanium handle with some decorations and a talonite blade so nothing is magnetic (except the small screws).I can carry it to work as an MRI tech. and not have to worry about the 1.5T magnet. Its one of the finest folders I have come across, smooth opening, solid lock up,no blade play, thick liner (.09?),comfortable handle, etc.

hmmm an F1 in a city might not be so handy,,

but i really dont know what folder i should get, many options, many considerations

and epecially many i still need to try :p
