If you could keep one knife from your collection what would it be and why.

I'd have to say my ZT 0400 scavenger. Cuts like crazy, easy to carry , easy to keep a grip on, easy to open and close. FFG Endura would be my second choice.

In CA, it's got to be a folder if I'm going to carry it.

If SAKs are included in this topic, then it would be my blue Victorinox Farmer. Great practical knife and it will last for a long time.

Hmm.. I Feel I've Answered This Same Question... 60 Times Before.

Anyways.

Out Of What I Have Now...
For A Tough Folder - Spyderco Manix 2
For A Larger EDC - Spyderco Para2
For A Nice Simple EDC - Spyderco Sage 2
And The List Of Needs And Knives Goes On.

But If I Had To Pick ONE To Keep FOREVER To Used For EVERYTHING... Probably My Manix 2 Or Sage 2. As I Feel They Can Withstand A Lot.

Either an old U.S. Schrade LB7 or a Buck 110. My little SAK Classic stays on my keyring.

I'll play. If I was to be marooned somewhere and could only have 1 knife: My Tops Tracker 2. If there were some new law mandating only owning of one knife: my Spyderco Valloton Sub-hilt. Because I spend more time in the wilds of civilization than actually being marooned.

Izula II.

Its fixed so no moving parts, its strong, and it is the right size for pretty much every day EDC tasks. Can baton small wood and penetrate terrorist zombie skulls too if need be.

All around perfect knife. I use mine over my folders all the time.

Spyderco Military - Quite simply the best designed and most useful knife that I own. It has proven itself in the field and at home.

Right now it would have to be my M390 Military. I always come back to the Millie for some reason. It's just the perfect knife for me.

Most folks here favor a weapon-type knife as their only knife.

Me, I favor something I can carry all the time without being out of place. Business casual at work? No problem. During weekend honey-dos? No problem. While cycling? No problem. While driving my car? No problem. In the post office? No worries. In the big city during the summer? All clear, no need to hide it.

The best knife is the one I have on me.

Now, other than that, it has other merits: sentimental value. My wife (then girlfriend) got it for me 9 years ago) It's more useful than a single-bladed knife; the screwdrivers and scissors have been particularly useful.

I keep wondering what I will ever do with the Benchmade 171 BladeSport 'Chopper' my wife gave me the Christmas before last... maybe it should be my 'one' - then I can find a use for it! I could carve logs...

Reality strikes - I'd keep my StarTac Umnumzaan - my most expensive knife. Not because it is a fantastic knife - which it is - but because I could sell/trade/pawn it to get some of my other old knives back. They are my family... I'd miss them... I don't want to play this game - it makes me sad...

I have a good handful I would not want to part with... but if I could only pick one it would probably be my Jerry Hossam Gaijin Wakizashi.

I could never let this one go. A very special gift that my wife had made especially for me by my favorite maker.

I wonder how many times I will post this picture?

I guess it is just because I'm not as "into" tactical folders as many of you, but I don't know what the heck a lot of these knives are.

What's a BK2? What's a Jerry Hossim Wakizashi? (I thought wakizashis were the smaller ninja swords...) Izula II?

If you can't post pix, at least post a link. Or if you can't do that, would you please say what the heck it is?
