If you could keep one knife from your collection what would it be and why.

Swamp Rat Taz Rat - because who ever took the rest of my knives would have some `splainin to do!

Jerry Hossom Gaijin Wakizashi...

Third one from the top on this page. I came up with the design idea and Jerry made it custom for me quite a few years back. Steel is A-2 and handle scales are micarta. 20" blade, 10" handle that can be used as a single handed or double grip. A very awesome piece by a very awesome knife maker.

Why can't I keep more than one knife? Because this is another one in an (unending) line of the same witless posts?

Not good enough reason.

Maybe instead of postulating the not-so-very-likely ultimatum, the OP should have just asked, "What is the most prized possession in your collection?".

Probably this one-

Benchmade 635 w/Krein regrind

It's not the most expensive or rarest, but it's the most used & carried of all.I'd hate to part with it.

ack, I will play today. If I could only have one that I currently own, it would be this one.

Why?
a. the complex and accurate handmade grind.
b. the notable and reliable brand
c. the width of the blade, the deep hollow grind. (it would provide many years of service)
d. the length isn't off the charts, and when in its sheath it actually looks somewhat benign.
e. excellent balance and handling.
f. great all around blade shape.

I guess it is just because I'm not as "into" tactical folders as many of you, but I don't know what the heck a lot of these knives are.

What's a BK2? What's a Jerry Hossim Wakizashi? (I thought wakizashis were the smaller ninja swords...) Izula II?

If you can't post pix, at least post a link. Or if you can't do that, would you please say what the heck it is?

This is a BK2...
