Not just any Stockman, an 82 Dixie Stockman.

How did I not pick one of those 82s up before?Great choice
I’d probably choose my Pioneer for the utility, but the 82 would be a very close second

The Dixie is a fantastic stockman. Easy but snappy, smooth pulls, thin blades and awesome blade combo. How did I not pick one of those 82s up before? Those are great looking knives!

Thank you very much for the kind words my friend . I am biased and am inclined to agree with you , BUT there are a LOT of other forum members who also have some Stag covered knives that just makes me go WOW and keep going back to look at them again and again .Easily one of the most beautiful stag covered knife I've seen in BF in my humble opinion Harry![]()
This is one of those weird questions because it is both unrealistic, and requires you to pick a compromise that you might not actually normally choose otherwise.
Yeap, that one would do it.This is it!

I have to agree with @redsparrow. While this Victorinox Equestrian does not have every feature I want (one hand opening, a screwdriver in place of the corkscrew, and lockbar for the hoofpick -- the GAK/Trekker has a locking screwdriver in place of the hoofpick, fer crissakes!), it is a great tool for my daily mounted activities and solves most problems right away.If I could only carry one specific pattern I would want that pattern to be one with the most utility. Levin's 4th edition calls a pocket knife with multi use blades a Sportsman pattern. We call them a SAK. I would select a SAK because they are IMO the pocket knife pattern that comes closest to do-it-all utility.

May i ask which model Case that is? Is it 10305 ?Somehow this question seems a bit like asking a mechanic: “If you could only own one wrench, what would it be?” But to answer the question - logic tells me it should be my Vic Tourist - everything I would ever need in a compact package. On the other hand, my actual experience over the past almost fifty years tells me it would be a small (or possibly medium) stockman.

Yes - it’s the 6333 pattern, item #10305.May i ask which model Case that is? Is it 10305 ?
I see what you did there Dogg - grand choice! OHBuck .112.
That is a beautiful collection you have there. If you dont mind me playing devil's advocate, which of the bunch would you choose if you could only have one?One pattern, for me it would be a Stockman, if I had to narrow it down to a specific Stockman it would be the Case 18 pattern Medium Stockman. I've prepared for that to happen! OH

Easy choice for me
