If you could only have 3 Bucks...

You are right Craig. That is just the first three Bucks I uploaded off my jump drive.
The 121 is the last one I would give up.

It (a 121) was the first of my three chosen. It would be my knife if I had to choose just one.

CHOOSE JUST ONE BUCK KNIFE.

Hmmmmmm.......sounds like another thread.

:D

I find these "IF" games interesting. IF, for me, would mean some really bad situation and in something like that, my choices would be.

1. Buck 110 AG - S30V

2. Buck 110 AG - S30V

3. Lansky Sharpening system

Sorry, just being an old poop this morning. :grumpy::rolleyes:

Well, if life gives you resurrected threads, make lemonade.

I carry the Buck Vantage Pro large every day, so I need that one.

My first knife and most sentimental is a Buck 110, so I want to keep that one.

I'm counting a custom Buck 110 in with the above to buy late on in life, since it's the same model, right??

Third knife would probably be the Buck Hoodlum, because I would really like to try one and don't have a big chopper.

124 micarta handle
186 w S30V blade
124 orange lite

Wait. Give me a minute...

I need a slight mod: I need to be able to choose my particular three from ITE's, PD's and Haebbie's stockpiles of fame. Yes. I like this best. Uh huh. Yes.

For me 2 different sets depending on whether I needed to get a lot of hard stuff done or not.

Favourites if I didn't have to absolutely hammer them are:

Fixed = Kalinga Pro S30V and Rosewood
Large Folder = Kalinga Pro S30V folder and Rosewood
Small Folder = Alpha Dorado 154cm and Rosewood

But if I had to work them real hard :

119
110
Alpha Dorado

I only have 3 bucks and, in all honesty, can't say I'd replace any of them with anything else.

Buck 500 - This is one of my 2 main EDC knives (the other is a modified Opinel #9 drop point)

Buck 482 - This is the clipless version from Walmart this year. Perfect size and weight for backpacking. Probably the highest on the value range of any knife I own.

Buck 110 - Least used knife I own. I've acquired a few fixed blade hunters. Hard to say what the future holds for my 110. Everybody should own one but I carry mine rarely. If Buck sold a 110 drop point, I would consider replacing it. I find the clip point is a lousy EDC blade. Still my hunting knife, but...

I think I only have two Bucks right now, one a regular 301 stockman that I loaned to my father some time ago, and a 301X, with bone scales and 425M steel.

I would like to get back any one of the few TNT's I've sold or traded. I would also like to get back the custom shop 110 (stag scales and damascus blade) that I traded.

I'm thinking a TNT with a 3.5" blade, a Custom Shop 110 with buffalo horn scales and a BG42 blade, and a 301 with a 440C blade and desert ironwood scales would great.

I'm just fine with what I've got...
1. plain jane 119 (Idaho stamp)
2. no-dot 110 (440C)
3. 80s-vintage 112 (425m)
