If you could only have one tough knife...

In real life (what I actually have and use as EDC)
Fixed: Fällkniven F 1 in one of Normarks excellent sheaths. (It really is a tough little knife!!!)
Folder: BM Mini TSEK. May not be especially tough, but has taken all I have used it for.

In theory:
Fixed: Busse Active Duty (or the new Fusion Steel Heart if I could carry a knife of that size as EDC!:D)
Folder: Strider SnG

Oh....I also agree with all who wants their SAK's! My Recruit is always with me!

If I could only have one tough knife I'd be sad. All of my knives are tough (he he). My Dave Beck Wilderness Survival Knife, Jack Crain Life Support System 2, Jack Crain Life Support System Hunter, Jack Crain custom (my design)........I just can't pick one.

FOLDER:

Well considering i dont have many folders to base my judgement on i'd say either a CRKT BladeLOCK 2, or a good bali (typhoon or Benchmade). ;)

Good thread! For my fixed I'd take my Fallkniven F1 and for the folder, an SAK climber.

I have a limited collection but my toughest knives are my benchmade 705 and one of my swamprats, the camptramp seems to be the most versitile if I have to limit myself. I love that knife. Any of the SRs would do for my fixed though.

Fixed - CS Master Hunter in Carbon V, - incredibly strong and sharp;
Folder - Spyderco Sabaria, - strong, flexible handling, wickedly effective.:cool:

I have never even held or SEEN a Strider SnG in my life, but thats what is getting my vote...I have read so much on them and never seen anything negative on them. I cant wait to get my own...but due to my being quite poor it will have to wait a while. I wish I wasnt the only knife nut within 50 miles of my town.
