IF you could only have one ZT knife

I haven't tried everything, but with what I have tried so far the 801CF is probably my favorite. The 888 looks interesting though. I must be the odd man out, because my 777M390BLK is my least carried and fondled.

For me the choice would have to be between a 550 and 630 right now. I am having a hard time deciding which I like best but I have a feeling the 630 might end up pulling ahead.

The question's a tad ambiguous (only one of those I own; or which ZT would I want if I could have any of them, but only one?). If the former, either the 0801 BRWCF or the 0392. If the latter, any version of the 0777. The 0777 is probably my favorite knife of any I've ever seen.

To keep and look at? This would be the one for me..M390 aint no slouch either..

for a user ZT I would have go with the 0801S110V..

550. It's the iconic pocket-brick folder from ZT. Why they discontinued it so early, especially after the near-perfect Gen 3's came out, will remain a mystery.

Easy... To sell new, more ridiculously priced hinderer style knives :)

Ridiculously priced? I paid under $200 for my 0550 Gen 2 from a well known online knife store. Plus, it's a very well made titanium framelock that I carry and use more than my Strider SnG that cost me $400. Why would you think that its ridiculously priced? Compared to what?

Probably my 0770CF (nicely worn in). It works great for me, especially paired with a small fixed blade:

"Only have one ZT knife"?

Not the 0454s, didn't like it at all, sold it.

Got a 0562 at the KSF store this morning while I was grabbing a couple stones for the Edge Pro. I love it. Beautiful, purposeful knife. After getting it, my answer to this topic is...

Still the 0550. :)

Oh I donno... 777, 0392 0888 0454 0600 etc.

I'm not knocking them by any means.... All great knives... but considering what production costs and R%D costs are, if they produced MORE they WOULD sell.
Costs go down, more satisfied customers etc. Makes ZERO sense to spend the time, the money developing and the marketing simply to make an inadequate amount.

I have the 0600, 0777M30 and 0392 and they all cost me more than twice the price of the 0550 Gen2. I'm sorry, maybe I'm simply misunderstanding your point. What do you think that the ZT0550 Gen 2 & 3 should cost based on the going price of an American made, titanium framlock with S35VN blade steel? I finding them for around $180 online...paid a few dollars lessfor mine. Thanks.

I was implying that the other knives are VERY overpriced considering what they're able to produce a similar knife (0550/0560 etc) for.
Even the Tyrade was a reasonable price and that was cutting edge (pun intended) for it's time.
