If you could only keep one Spyderco, which is the best Spyderco ever?

That's an easy one for me>> however I'm going to not limit myself to just one.. I'm going to list one folder and one fixed blade

For the Spyderco folder there is none other I love more than the C-44 Dyad model. It is a double bladed jewell that can be used for many cutting jobs and it is a perfect folder for a survivalist bug out bag.

My very favorite fixed blade Spyder is the Temperance 1 model and they made them available in PE & SE both. the Temp 1 in my opinion is the best sized, proportioned and best designed Spyderco fixed blade ever IMO. It would take a super folder or a paramount designed fixed blade to dethrone either one of those.

For me at the moment it's a tie between the Para 2 and the Superblue Stretch. Over the long haul I probably prefer the Para 2, in a sprint steel, but it's a tough call.

I have the Delica and PM2 right now and it just depends on what I'm doing that day. PM2 goes to work (mechanic) with me, a longer thicker blade is needed. On the weekends the Delica gets carried, if I pull the Delica out people with "delicate sensibilities" don't faint. If I had to choose it would be the PM2 right now. I like a bigger blade.

I have a black bladed Tenacious and a G10 Manix 2 (the 5 oz one) on the way that I ordered this week. I've previously handled both and it will be a toss up between those and the PM2 for work. At the time the Manix 2 felt best but I figured why not try them all. My Delica may go to my niece, she likes it a whole lot and her Buck knife is pretty beat up so she may get it or a new one for her birthday from me.

I love my Sage I, my Delica, my PM2, my Rubicon but above all else, I would never part with my Techno.

Spyderco finally perfected the little big knife concept and the Techno is perfection.

This thread sucks. So it hasn't helped at all. I feel like I need to try out the stretch, manix and pm2 in order to get peace of mind now.

Before owning a delica I thought it was an awful plain design. But on that note maybe I'm wrong about the manix then. Half of my favorite knives I didn't like at first.

Just to further complicate things, I'd like to throw in a vote for the Spyderco Domino. I loathe the weird checkered black CF pattern on the standard Domino but I happen to have one in the blue CF ... I have used it as my EDC more than any other knife, including over my Manix 2, PM2, and Cru-wear Millie. The balance both in hand and in pocket is great and the flipper makes an incredibly satisfying ka-chink sound every time you pop it open. Hands down favorite Spyderco, although now that I have the Chaparral I'm finding quite a bit a joy in downsizing. But, the Chaparral doesn't flip, so it really doesn't hold a candle to the Domino in terms of fun-factor.

Without a doubt.... Tenacious!!!

The tenacious would win every time for me. I love the coated blade and black g10 scales. Love it!

Spyderco is the best co.

How can one even begin to answer

The Endura is a great knife and so is its little cousin the Delica. I love my Southard but not everyone would call it a favorite.
The discontinued Chokwe was a near perfect slicer, pointed too, deployed with grace and carried very nicely - sold mine :D - though I miss it. Wasn't a working knife. The Gayle Bradley is a working knife and more. The PM2s are approaching ICON status but not for me…

How can one decide? Thankfully there can be more than one.

So start another one.

Ha ha it would lead me back to this thread! I really should just buy them all but who does that! Lol

Hasn't changed my opinion.

"I just found a combo edge FRN for less than 70 bucks shipped. "

Hi. The Stretch you bought... it's VG10?
I also bought a FRN Stretch (VG10) and the markings ("SPYDERCO VG-10" and "SEKI-CITY...") are not stamp marked
(like every other Spyderco VG10's I saw till now):

they look like acid scratched, like this one:

Did the Spyderco changed the marking style?
Thanks!

It would be very hard to keep just one. But if I have to choose, this would be 2013 Spyderco Forum Native5. I love the look, steel and the best of all - ergos. The knife like made for my hand.

I'm going to cheat and list 2 more  I gave 2 categories on my previous post i.e. fixed blade and folder. OK on this one I'm going to list the one Specialty blade and one for Specialized uses.

For the Specialty blade you just can't beat the Dodo model. That little knife is probably the most overall versatile small bladed Knife I've ever used period.

A Spyder for Specialized uses has to be my old AUS-8 full Spyderedged Catcherman>> there isn't much I don't use that knife on. Both of these Special Spyders deserve recognition for all they can do. What a lot of people perceive as novelty knives will fool you>> because I've thought that of my Dodo only to discover that little funny looking knife is a genius design>> try using one for a week if you don't believe me.
