I know that most of us cant even imagine only owning three, let alone one, but just thought it would be interesting to get a poll going to see the results... Also might be helpful to the new members struggling w the decision of a first...

So, if you could only own one ESEE/RAT Cutlery blade, which would it be?

I think I'd choose my RC/ESEE-4 - excellent size, jack of all trades and a great sheath.

Very close second would be my RC-3mil as its VERY hard to find a tough yet thin blade...

Actually, it'd probably be a coin toss but, RC/ESEE-4 is what I voted :D

Until the Imacasa RAT machete comes out, I'd have to go with the 3.

Had to go with the 3 for versitility.....small enough for edc and big enough to process game(and it has)........

Went with the 6 - basically the RC-6 is the most unique blade that Ratcutlery produces. All of their others have knives of different production with somewhat similar characteristics. The RC-6, based on its balance and dimensions, is the most unique in my mind.

Fortunately - the title of this thread bears no resemblance to reality.

That's a hard call but I voted the Izula because I've always got it on me. To be honest the RC-4 is the perfect do it all fixed blade IMO.

I like them all,but have become quite taken in by the 3.It's a good size for my needs and is a great little slicer, due to thinner blade stock. If you would have asked that question several months ago,I'd have picked something larger.

Not havin' any yet I'd have to go with my gut and that say's pick the RC-4, it looks to fit my EDC needs best.

I love the Izula but I'm going to have to go with the RC-4 if there can be only one.

Tough call but for versatility I have to vote RC-3. Trying different knives this year for field dressing deer. Used one this morning and found that I did not really like the length (4 3/8 blade) when skinning. Next deer I will used the RC-3. I am sure I will like it better as it is close to the Gerber that I used for the last 10 years.

I voted RC3. I use my Izula probally the most Hest a close second. But that's just city EDC. The Rc4 is the biggest I own and really have no need for it unless I'm camping or hiking I like to use it. But only one I pick the Rc3 because it's still small and has a good blade. One knife to me would be the one I would use most.
