if you could only pick two traditional folders $100 or less which one's?

just for the heck of it, say there was no further production of knives in the entire world from this point on, what would you go with?:D

I suppose I have to 'settle' for one of the hundreds of knives I already own. :D

If I were restricted to only TWO knives for the rest of my life I'd probably die rapidly of depression/ennui...

That was essentially my first thought as well. But I went for many years with essentially one knife, not two. Did just fine. Didn't even own a fixed blade or even considered buying one for years.

Very hard question to answer but if I had to choose only two traditionals they would be my S&M File and Wire Toothpick, and the Case folding Hunter.

I m goin to say buy the Opinel box set....10 knives #'s 2-10 and #12. Can be found online for $96 with free shipping.

Of course, very true. But...once you get the taste for variety, the knife collection balloons :D

That which sustains me destroys me  Maybe not that bad!

I thought the OP meant two folders that would cost you a 100 or less each. If he meant 100 or less for the both, then I would pick my Soup Bone Charlow (got it used for less than retail), and either my Swiss Yeoman, a Swiss Compact, or a Case CV Peanut in Chestnut Bone.

OR... I would pick my 2 Blade Macassar Ebony PPP Charlow, and Opinel #6 Carbon.

It's hard to pick just two, but basically any one of my GECs, along with any Victorinox, Carbon Opinel, or CV Case that would make it 100 or less would work for me.

I'd pick my Alaskan Guide Buck 110 in S30V, and a Victorinox Alox of some sort with scissors and a cap-lifter, at minimum.
