For 40+ years I carried a Buck 303 Cadet. I skinned a lot of control cable with the sheepsfoot blade and a couple of them had been sharpened to the point that the blade resembled an awl more than a sheepsfoot blade. Only in the last couple of years have I become aware of higher end knives. However, if I could only have 10 knives, I could live with 8 Buck 303s, my ESEE 3, my BK 9. My list is based on everyday use and not on collectibility.
