But LOL thats just me.

Seriously, I know what you mean to get the nicest most refined/fit/finish/quality knife you could for $200...sorry I dont really know any, I just look at budget knives mostly...

Mtell1, where did you find the green handle Rat1? I have the black and orange, but never seen a green! Awesome!

ZT 0551. $200 is often more than you have to pay for a production folder, but it was worth if for me on this knife. But the Gayle Bradley, as someone else mentioned, is also an excellent choice.

Hi Ber, its a really nice knife due to its value...I had a difficult time deciding on my order due to all the color combinations.

There is also Desert Tan, satin or black, and the Green as you mentioned on satin or black.

I ordered it from the Ebay, I think $28 + $5 shipping...(Im not promoting this vendor, just to say where I ordered it, but with 99.9% rating with over 50,000 sales I felt it was safe to order.)

If I were you, with that $200, I'd buy a Cold Steel American Lawman, a Leatherman Wave multi-tool, and take my wife/girlfriend out to dinner with the $ left over.:).

I could never take the wife/girlfriend out to dinner..... They don't get along very well.

If you had $200 to spend on an EDC folding knife, 3-3.5" (leaning toward 3.5) what would you spend it on. I really like Benchmade and Spyderco, and would like it to be ffg, or if it isn't, a good slicer.

CPM M-4 Benchmade 520.

I would buy two knives. For an EDC Spydie, I like the Native or Delica for all around use at 3". The Stretch is a little longer and better slicer. The Endura is the big boy of the bunch. You can get any of them for under $75. If you want an upscale Spydie, the Para 2 is tough to beat. If you want a big 'un, go for the Military. You can get those around $115 if you shop.

The basic Benchmade EDC is the Griptillian (or Mini Grip.) The 710 and 940 are popular upscale choices.

You should probably check out some Kershaws and a Buck or two, as well...

I would buy a zt301. But for a slicer like you're looking for, a ffg delica or endura and a sharpening system. Or a carbon fiber and zdp189 caly 3, thats one heck of a slicer, should be able to get a sharpmaker with it too.

If it was me I'd buy a Benchmade 930 Kulgera. I think Benchmade discontinued the 930 but it's a great knife. Beautiful G10 handles, S30v takes a wicked edge, and great quality. That's not to say that the spyderco alternatives don't also appeal to me, The police 3 G10 is really nice.

For a FFG EDC Spyderco I would go with the Tenacious. Save the rest of the money.

If FFG was not a requirement an Spyderco Delica or Kershaw Oso Sweet, or Benchmade Griptillian. All of those are great EDC knives.
