If you had $50 to spend on a Kershaw, what would you get?

The Kershaw Skyline is a personal hall of famer class production edc knife. Thin geometry, great blade shape, comfy edc ergos, ***fine grained Sandvic steel***, reliable heat treatment and easy to sharpen / maintain. It really is a design knife enthusiasts should give a try. Another model I enjoyed, albeit not as practical, was the ZT0350. I bought and sold 2 of these but my Green Knockout kept me from replacing one of them. The KO is a lighter and thinner which makes it more pocket friendly but the ZT0350 still has my interest. Although deciding is a lot of work, it sure is fun to shop for a new knife. Have fun and savour the process.

Westin, Grinder, or Valmara are all great ones. Kershaw offers alot of great knives for 35ish dollars on amazon... so they'll be about 50 on kershaws website. The leek is also a great way to go. Emersons are also great buys as well. Hope you find one you like!

Any Kershaw Emerson collaboration!

6K, 7K, 4KXL, 8K, 3K are my suggestions. Are they any better for EDC than a FFG spyderco or RAT? Doubtful. But they are hellacool.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick either the 6K or 4KXL.

I've tried a lot of them, favorites in no order:

Skyline
Blur
Dividend
Piston
Volt SS
Pico

Replacing a lockback with 50ish dollars, I'd take a hard look at a Delica though

Yeah I am going to have to agree that it IS a no brainer. Kershaw/Emerson CQC 6k or 7k. This knife is WAY better than its price. Infact in some ways it is even better than the real CQC7s. It is much thinner and easier in the pocket than the CQC7. My CQC7k is one of my favourite cheaper knives I own. Personally I think it is one of the best knives Kershaw has ever put out.

They are beautiful knives. I am, of course, biased.

The 6K and 7K are clippoint and tanto (v microbevel, not chisel) versions of the same knife, respectively. A beautiful knife, IMO.

I'm looking to get the 8k now, chisel grind, and the piddly 3K, a micro tanto, for the lols.

I have the 8k as well. It is a lot more like a real Emerson knife as it has the liner lock construction. The shape is abit odd. I wish it would have a straighter handle like the Emerson cqc7s. However other than that it is very similar in feel to a cqc7. Personally I love my chisel ground knives. I had one of my Cqc7vs ground so it is a V edge and actually prefer my chisel edge (but still v ground as it is cqc7v).

Chisel edge is underrated and I find most people complain because they are righties and they feel Emersons are ground for lefties. But what if you are peeling an apple cutting towards yourself? Then it is ground perfect for a righty. I just find chisel edges easier to sharpen.

My 7k and cryo g10 are two of the least expensive knives I have but are also two of the best for fit and finish. My cryo g10 has better f&f than my 0566 and the 7k is smoother than my sebenza and has better lock up than my Emerson cqc-7.

Link, Blur, Skyline, Dividend, Leek, etc....basically any of their USA made stuff you can't go wrong with.

I love my clash so would say that right off the top.

But I'd also use some of my money in conjunction with $50 they have you and buy the knockout or blur in S30V. Beats having to pay the full price IMO
