if you had $70....

$70 would be a stretch, but I'm sure you can find an Assist 1 for around that price point. Excellent knife to collect and use.

Other thoughts are a Tenacious, Endura, D'Allara (disco'd), Lava (almost out of stock + disco'd).

I picked up an Endura 3rd generation of Ebay. It was considerably less than $70, so I feel I got a deal. I'll let you know what I think when it arrives.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am a Benchmade fan, but I can't get over the Tenacious. I think I am going to have to invest in a plain edge T as well. I see a few more Spydies in my future....

I got my Endura today. It is the third Genration I believe.

Feels great in the hand, though it is just a hair to thin in my opinion, but something I can live happily with. Its light too, which is something new for me as well.

It is a full serrated blade that is extremly sharp.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the choice. I'll start EDC'ing it tonight.

Congrats on the Endura. I love it and it's smaller sibling the Delica. Hope you love it as much as I have over the years.

Also I should say thanks. This thread reminded me that I needed to pick up another Endura soon. The last one I was using got donated to a friend.

i definitely vote for the tasman salt or the salt 1... great knives... i personally prefer the full serrateed blade too... both knives are rust proof which is awesome and the full serrated blades do work on just about anything

I have good number of Enduras and the 3rd generation was really one of the nicest... super light weight, the traditional splinter picker tip and a metal pocket clip. I like the newer 4th gen as well, but it's heavier and the tip is not as pronounced.

Nice buy :)
