If you had a key to the Busse Combat shop. . . . . .?

I'd whip up a BAIII type design.
It would be choiless, about .17 thick with a Spear Point sabre satin blade, straight handle and tigerhide-micarta hand shaped slabs.
I'd name it "Victory Badger"

I'd like a 7" version of the Satin Jack, sort of a cross between a straight handle Satin Jack and a Rat-7. Thin and sleek.

Ergo Handle.

Handle slabs contoured like the ones on my Sarsquatch.

Blade of a Tali-Whacker made of INFI with a large choil like my Sarsquatch.

Since the Tali-Whacker was mentioned...

It is definitely one of my favorite all time Busse's, both in design and history. If I was a rich man I'd collect them all, but I am very happy to own one.

The BAIII or ABA is another great, and is probably the most practical of all the blades I own.

If I had the keys to the shop, I'd probably just start sweeping. I hear the janitor is overworked!

What would be cool would be new handle options on the FFBM: Res-c wraparound slabs attached to the handle with hex screws (I can dream right) that cover the back of the handle to protect the palm when I do some serious chopping.
Might not look the prettiest but would be FUNCTIONAL !

Holy.....blast from the past Batman ***KaPOW***.

I have to go with something completely different.
The BusseCrafter. 4" blade, 1" height, 1/8" thick, drop point, single bevel (per side) scandi grind, with a 4.5" Cultellus shaped handle. Oh almost forgot, No Choil whatsoever (not even a little itty bitty tiny sharpening one).

Well, Jerry, first thing I might like is. . .A JOB!! :D

For blades:
1.) 22" long kukri with 3/8" spine. Shallow convex grind, spine of the blade from the apex of the downturn to the point sharpened, and the entire "leaf" portion of the blade, top and bottom, to have the Nuclear serrations. Give it the NM treatment, Double Cut finish and Blue/Black scales. Call it the "ThermoNuclear Meltdown, [Insert name of Zilla's grip style here], Battle Master. Oh yeah, and sell it for $200.

2.) A collaboration. Busse with a traditional (i.e. has an eye) tomahawk head, spike design with the spike coming to a sort of tanto end, rather than a point, forward part of the beard sharpened, all edges with a convex grind. Pair that with a 24-28" Vector composite haft. Call it the Hogger.

3.) A Scottish dirk. Call it the Big Swinging Dirk.

4.) A kerambit. Dunno what to call it.

ETA: WTF? 2001? That's what I get for hitting the See New Posts button and not looking at the start date of the first post. . .

2001 post resurrected. Definitely will give it a try.
AK47 with 28" length, 0.32" thiickness, 1.6" width blade.
Let's call it Shiva.

NMFSH 8" blade.

9" blade sarsquatch with NM treatment. Simple called XL NMSAR. Or possibly an option in blade length?

All kinds of handle and blade color options.

Now ya cooking Porc!!! Oh, I so 2nd this one:thumbup::cool::D

Oh man this is tough, so many options..like a kid in a candy store. maybe a few of these ideas..

Smatchet design
Knatchet design
Bring the Bullet tip battle mistress' into CG
Bullet tip a Moab or 3
NM the whole steel heart line
Infi version of a HRLM with a santa choil not an elf one.
CG a Zilla with a slightly thinner blade to bite deeper.
Straight up grab some Silent Knights
Reintroduce Paul's Hatchet and an Axe (something that could compete with a Bruks, but INFI ;))
I'd make an INFI Kitchen knife SET including the xxxl, chefs, steaks, bread, clever, etc.
An Infi HARD use folder, strong framelock, thick scales and blade, something that could keep up with the Busse fixed blades. Im talking better than the XM-18, CF's, or RAO by comparison (and nobodys done that yet IMHO)

This could seriously go on forever...too many idea's..and I haven't even started drinking yet. ;). Seriously though Jerry's designs never cease to amaze me or let me down..we knit pick sometimes, but overall he's pretty spot on. :)

I would make a call to Laci Szabo to ask him if he would like to make a collaboration of a Gladiator D-Guard out of INFI with Busse styling. The I would make a Busse line of self defense impact tools in varying sizes from large to small key chain items. I would be making a lot of collaborations with the likes of Szabo, Snody, Etc.

Maybe a run of famous knives that could be "Bussed" a little and made even better? Such as FaiburnSykes(way misselled!), the Crocodile Dundee, KaBar, Buck 110, Randall 1, etc. INFI and a little Busse charm could make these "good" knives that everyone loves into "amazing" knives!

Or just always offer all of the BMs!!!
