Well, I got hit pretty hard this month with the Busse bug. I bought a FFBM, CGFBM, CG ASH1, BATAC, and a swamp rat hairy carry. I also bought a Fehrman Thru Hiker for a small knife to set up as a piggy back to a larger blade for fine camp work. Now, my question is, if you had to choose 3 Busse knives for camping and or wilderness survival which three would you choose.
When I started looking at buying a couple good solid knives I was told Busse or Fehrman. After seeing what a Busse could do online I guess you see what I chose. When I go out camping, its always for a few days atleast. I am a big guy, around 6 foot and 260 lbs. So when I strapped on the FFBM to my hip the weight isnt that bad, but it pulls my pants down a bit. Thats why I got the CG FBM.
I was thinking about putting the small Fehrman Thru Hiker on the FFBM as a piggy back, and the Hairy Carry on the CG CBM for the same. I would use the BATAC as a pack knife and strap it to my pack for quick easy work. I was curious as to what all you think and what your choices would be and why. I am not much of an axe guy and prefer to baton wood which is why I chose a large blade and not an axe.
So, come on, lets hear it, what would be your three. Pictures are welcome as always. I am selling a bunch of Browning Hi Power and 1911 leather to afford all of the Mashed Cat and Okuden sheaths. I should have all my sheaths by next week. When I move to a dry climate I want a chuddy bear sheath as well, they are just sexy.
