If you had to choose 3 Busse's

small - Active Duty
mid - SFNO LE
large - NMFBM

Those three should take care of everything I really need.

Easy 4 Me:

NMFBM
ASH-1 LE
BAD

They all fit a niche and do it all well. I love the NMFBM as a chopper. The ASH-1 LE is the best all around medium sized knife I have used and the the thinner blade slices well but is not too thin to really do some tuff work (which mine has) and the BAD because it'll do all those little slicing chores with ease yet is still tough in its own right.

I left out the SFNO because I feel its between the BM and the ASH. So I figure I got it all covered with those three.

I already own these:
Small - OJ Game Warden
Mid - SAR5
Large - Basic 9

I might change the large to a Ruck if I ever found one.

Tough one.

I've been trying to lean back on the number of blades I take in the field but if I was going for three they would have to be my CGFBM, SJTAC, and my AD.

That being said this years go to combo will be a NMSFNO and a Vic. tool.

Someday I'll try out some variation of a FSH and a BTAC but I'm pretty dang pleased with what I have for users right now.

Good luck
Helle

NMFBM 1/13

SJ LE

the small is the toughest and would be a toss up between a satin snake

cult, or LMS.

CG FBM for the chopping work
SFNO saber grind for mid work carry
Meaner street for small work around camp..

CG FBM
CG BATAC
AD - Preferably the 2007 SE , but a Mili would do, too.

After nearly 50 years of camping and many trail miles, I'd say:
1. a NMFBM as my large heavy duty chopper, (tho' a Gransfors Bruk axe would more likely be my first and more practical choice),
2. my Sus Scrofa LE (bet no one's suggested THAT one yet!) as a great drawknife, log peeler/carver, rope/vine cutter for camp/pioneering construction chores, and
3. One of my .140 Game Wardens (snakeskin or green linen) or maybe a BAD for fine detailed work or kitchen duty.
Always a good question - Best Wishes to All!

I only bring two, a chopper and a smaller knife.
My favs right now would be my NMFBM and a SARS warden....
One for wood and heavy work and one for game and cooking.

Three for the desk, Hack/culti/SkelKey.

Three for the pack, SHBM 1 of 300, Culti Hmmmm, not need three for pack.

Three for kitchen, Thin NICK, Culti, AK.

One for garage, Basic #3

Three for Life? SHBM, Culti, Thin Nick.

My Wife Say's "Do I get to keep my Non-Busse knives?" then listed Basic #9, SH Badger and a NICK.

The three I actually use are a FSH, a Ratmandu and a SAK....if just Busse's and I had my pick....a SHBM, a Tanker A and Jerry's SAK....
