If you had to choose one knife company?

I would have to say - Camillus. They put out some great products, from the Marine Kabar, the Becker line, CUDA, Yellow Jacket, and others. You can not beat the quality and value.

I'd choose Busse, Chris Reeve, or Benchmade. Kinda depends on what sorta knife I wa looking for. Busse for their nuclear tough fixed blades. CRK for their Sebenzas (and their one piece range is pretty good, too!). Benchmade for their tactial folders.

I sure am glad I don't have to choose only one knife company.

My choice would be CRK. They are built to last and do.
An honorable mention to Microtech, I love the styling and quality of these knives.

It would have to be Randall or Benchmade. Benchmade is cutting edge on development & Randall is hopelessly mired in the past.

I guess thats what I like about knifes, one of the simplest tool/weapon that man has ever created yet it continues to evolve.

Toss up between the American Bladesmith Society and the Knifemakers Guild.

Ditto what Mr. Ralph said. Camillus has it all, plus very reasonable prices and great customer service. American made quality is a bonus.

Benchmade by far. If I had to choose one as you've specified, it would be the company where I'd get the most for my money, good customer service, and have a variety of styles, folding and fixed to choose from. I've carried Benchmades and Pacific Cutlery pieces as everyday users for the past fifteen years without a gripe, and in the midst of owning many other knives, production and custom.

Spyderco!

I'm with Gus on this one. The best company can be found among the members of the Knifemakers Guild and the American Bladesmith Society. What a great bunch of guys!

Paracelsus, fooling around very seriously

If I had to choose just one Production Knife Company...

Benchmade; Excellent Folders, Nimravus Fixed Blade

Cammillus; Becker Line, CUDA Line, BladeForum EDC

I believe that I will have to go with Cammillus.

Spyderco. They have the best value for the dollar. The one company that will make changes to existing models to imprve them. Not just to make them cheaper.

Not a popular choice it seems, but a sentimental favorite with this dad. My first good knife was a Buck 110, but the company that made the first knife that I was actually in awe of was Cold Steel. The knife was the original Cold Steel Tanto.
