Folder: Victorinox Pioneer (Yea, seriously. )
Fixed: Buck Large Paklite Skinner, or my Express Machete if size doesn't matter

What I dont have:
Folder: Hm.......Ill stick with the Pioneer
Fixed: BK-2

I understand that, i didnt mean it in so much in the capacity as a weapon, more of a hard use tool you can depend on. In no place did i say weapon or tactical knife.

I think i feel as you do. I chose my Vic. because I see it as a tool. No way I'd even try to fight with a knife. That's what the rifles and shotguns are for.

For just about any kind of terrain,
Fixed - EESE 5 or 6
Folder - ZT0200

Now if we were going into the bush, I would carry a larger fixed blade (vegetation) and a lighter/slimmer folder (sweat all the time and less load bearing outerwear) ,
Fixed - EESE Junglas or SYCKO 1311
Folder - Spyderco Military or Paramilitary 2

I would definitely carry a multitool (SOG or Leatherman) but I prefer a folder to any multitool blade and would ditch the big blade for the multitool.

These have worked well for me. With the exception of the 1311 because the mailman is late with mine.

Same here id choose my ar15 and glock 17 for a sidearm and id still use the ka-bar tanto for serious h2h combat
