If you order a Lenox Diemaster II blade from MSC...

I've noticed a few people saying Amazon is the problem, not MSC; I don't doubt buying direct would be a different experience- but Amazon or not, I bought the thing from MSC, I paid MSC, and MSC shipped me the wrong product. It was MSC I contacted to fix the problem, and MSC who sent another of the same wrong products, and it was MSC who took over a week to process a refund. So in my book it was MSC who dropped the ball.

I've got an e-mail in to the guy I mentioned earlier. Hopefully he will become a good Lenox bandsaw blade source for knifemakers. He and his father are Lenox dealers and are set up to do custom lengths. I'll let everybody know as soon as I hear something.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just received a bandsaw blade from K&G that is supposed to be a Lenox Diemaster II but it has absolutely no markings on it (other than their product number hand written in permanent marker).

The product number they've written on the blade matches the product number on their website for the Diemaster II.

There's no way of telling what this blade is, but given that more of us are receiving unmarked blades from different sources are we sure Lenox hasn't stopped marking their blades or something?

The shipping on this blade was $2 less than the cost of the blade itself so returning it isn't an option. I'm really hoping I got the right blade here.. :\

Heard back from k&g, they have two different companies that they deal with in bi metal blades. The email said not to worry because it's the same material/quality (m42 bimetal) even though the blade is not marked as a diemaster II.*

Basically brand substitution. I really hope it is exactly the same quality because I ordered lenox (and paid a premium) for a reason. I'm sure its fine but its definitely something to be aware of.
