heading out with the Lewis and Clark expedition across the unexplored wilderness of the western United States...

and had access to the full range of Busse blades...

which knives would you take with you? and why?

and (at fbusmc's suggestion): What boots would you wear?

I would take a BWM, FFBM and another small blade like the Boss Street for smaller things.

The BWM would be my SD blade and brush clearing, light, fast and large enough to be a real fighter is needed.

The FFBM would be my chopper and wood splitter.

The Boss Street would be for cleaning and processing game and other small things as needed.

Considering I would have a pack mule/horse:

Dragon's Fang (I think that's what it's called)
AK-47
Reason: Bear/mountain lions(when the bullets run out)

Ruck
Reason: Thick brush

BWM
SAR 4
Reason: General camping chores

BAD
Reason: Smaller chores

Edit: The first three aren't really knives but I'd take them anyways

Hell, I would take them all, and bring Jerry with me. The two of us would conquer the world and Busse would be a household name. All steel would be some version of INFI and by now it would have evolved into something akin to Adamantium. Our empire would be known in the furthest reaches of the universe and intelligent life elsewhere would have contacted us in order to produce space ships of our second millennium INFI. The galaxy would be in the palm of my hand.........

You're gonna need a pack train just to carry the booze if you're taking Jerry with you.;):D

My BWM and Id take my BATAC and probably my active duty too. More than enough for my needs:)

Sarsquatch and Leaner Street. I'd use and axe for serious chopping so a FBM and the like wouldn't be needed.

However, for aesthetics I like the SAR 5 because it's the closest thing to a patch knife that Busse makes. It would fit right in!

The AK to keep on the horse in case you didnt have your gun on ya.

The argonne assault for the same purpose as the sword.

The ffbm for all chopping needs.

The boss street for everything else.

The BWM for defense and cutting brush, gathering fire wood. The SKINNY Boss Street for everything else (food prep, whittling, skinning/cleaning game etc)

One thing I've learned about those gents from way back was that weight saving gear was a real plus !!

If you can't get it done with a BWM & a smaller blade like a boss street you shouldn't really be out in the woods by yourself !!

SFNO for medium to big tasks. You could belt carry this blade in a drop loop kydex sheath all day and never notice it's there. It'll baton no problem.

Tweener Meaner for a small blade. The upswept tip is great for detail work, has a nice belly shape for woods bushcraft tasks and the handle is very secure in hand.
