If you were a mountain man in 1804

1804 eh, I'm thinking an AK would be very comforting next to a blunderbuss.

After that you could throw a HG55, SJTAC, or a SFNO in the air and whichever landed first I'd be happy with.

As for the boots a nice pair of Limmer boots would do just fine.

:thumbup::thumbup:

+1 on the Limmers
(my EDW, wearing through the 4th set of soles on these)

For edged tools

I think someone with a BWM and a BOSS Street would never be under knifed !

For Boots, there are a few that work well, but my favorites for durability and comfort over the long haul are my Danner Goretex Arcadias, Danner GTX are good ones as well.
If your feet are happy the rest of you is usually doing pretty well, foot care is often overlooked, but when your main source of transportation is your feet, $$ should not be an issue for what is basically what I like to call, "your weapon platform" Picked up some desert Danner arcadias for my son going to Iraq, and he said of all his gear they were truly worth their weight in gold.
I also like my Mattahorns, and some Rocky boots, but If I had to pick on pair, it would be my Danners.
Lets talk back packs next! :-)

:thumbup: Big +1 on Danner Arcadias ....20 yrs I have had mine ....3 sets of soles ....about 20 eyelet replacements ....no longer waterproof ....lost that after 6 yrs .... but able to walk/run in these all day long .... and NO BLISTERS !:D

Oh ..... NMFBM and the Busse fillet knife .....

A SAR 4 because everyone else had an axe:D

But I would have packed two pairs of boots - Vasque for EDC and LLBeaners for the deep stuff

First of all, I'd take a BWM, a SJTAC and a Boss Street for everyone in the expedition.

Then I'd take the following extra ones for me, just to try them all out: AK, NMFBM, CGFBM, SHBM, CGFSH, HOFSH, SHSHII, SH-E, NMSFNO, SAR8, SFNO, Squatch, NO-E, SHBA, SAR4, Meaner, Mili AD, BAD, Culti and a GW Fatty.

Last, I'd take a few extra BWMs to trade for more mules to carry all my stuff.

Thats quite the list , sounds like you'd be the guy traveling down the trail in your wagon selling and trading Busse blades. Like the old gun runners of that era or trademan of that time. :) And if you had all those blades tied to a mule he'd look like a porcupine. :D

I would take a ton of various blades, get to a trade center somewhere and clean up by selling the best knives the world has ever seen for exorbitant prices.

shbm and a boss street and a m4 with 1000 rnds of 5.56 TAP oh, and a bic lighter.

and anything else i could fit in my gmc yukon...

You would definately have a huge advantage with that outfit, if you could find gas for your yukon. But I guess you could always burn rott-gut liquor in your yukon. :D :D

Basic 9 (or a NMSFNO) and a Boss Streets (or s5le, but not sure if it would answer the post).

Busse AK47 - in case of zombies.

or Zombie Hostile Indians. Or worse, Zombie Bears.............

or Zombie Hostile Indians riding Zombie Bears!!!!!!!!

AK, very nice.

Chuckette, and maybe a couple smaller ones.

AK - I like the mountain Lion idea mentioned earlier... plus I could lop off the arm of any out-of-line indian at the nearest Cantina that gave my friend trouble

NMFBM-LE - Tooth Pick

I'd say Vex, if SRKW counted but otherwise, Skinny ASH - Camp knife

Boots - my 1000 gram thinsulate/ gortex Scent-lok Rockies
