  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

If you were deploying... (hypothetical)

Either my Benchmade Contego or Emerson Commander for a folder

For a fixed, either my titanium CMFTW sidewalk samurai or my TOPS hog

Folder: BM Adamas or Al Mar sere 2000.

Fixed: my 25 year old SRK if I had to carry a fixed. If I didn't, I would replace it with my Leatherman Super Tool.

I think all in all I would bring the newer cold steel recon in CTS-ZHP. For serious survival if I had to bring a folder, it would have to be at the absolute top of the line in durability. The Talwar might be even better than the recon. Actually I just now changed my mind and decided on the Talwar. It has such an amazing grip and sports the fabled tri-ad lock. It also has a grind that allows for slicing or chopping and seems very versatile overall

has anyone looked into the ultimate survival tips MSK-1 ? It looks absolutely amazing for its size.

I'd be tempted by a Tops desert nomad with a kydex sheath or a Benchmade 119. Both stainless, 5mm stock, clip point and have top and bottom guards. Maybe a Tops Ferret in place of a folder since we have a multitool as well? Similar size and weight but no moving parts to worry about.
