thinking about how he doesnt need it for defence and more as just around the house tasks what would you reccomend for him? please dont turn this into a political battle either. i dont support him i support mccain but its a question of what the president would carry.

I allways figured the President should carry a simple but classy slipjoint - say a MOP scaled 4-inch Congress model with a bit of engraving.

in before the lock. maybe you should've asked what we'd carry if we were president, because it's totally different than what I imagine obama carrying. I see him carrying something small and simple, not too ornate, either a slippy with two or three blades, or a nice damascus frame-lock.

now if I was president, I'd carry a huge-ass HI chitlangi strapped to my back. I mean, you're the freakin' POTUS, who's gonna tell you that you can't carry that?

If you were Obama what knife would you carry? Well if I were Obama I probably wouldn't carry a knife at all. After I was done banning ownership of guns, knives would be the next "weapon" on my list of things to get rid of.

I think of knives (and guns too) as tools not weapons. However I doubt our new president sees it that way.
