Sounds like a piece of Busse history.....unless what you paid is prohibitive....I would keep using it like Jerry has done....it's already a user!

I like Tony G's as well.....using them has to be done.....or at least one of them if you are lucky enough to own multiples.....

Peter your right! She was meant to be a user !!! even though its the only tan handle 1/300 SHBM, Its only Money!! I had no Busses at Blade 08, I am offically in the Kool Aid! Crazy! I went after SH Goodness and I have found her!

I think the whole ultra light movement is kinda funny. I mean, don't get me wrong, it definitely has its place. I like to hit the trails with a pair of trail runners and a camelbak as often as I can. If I was going to hike the entire Appalatian trail I would definitely put some thought into what I would be carrying. But...for a typical day of hiking (up to 20 miles or so), for a weekend backpacking trip, or for a BOB, I would carry whatever the hell I felt like putting in there...be it a BAD or a NMFBM.

With that being said, I would probably put in a "medium" Busse such as a Hell Razor or ASH. IMHO it is the best of both worlds.

The thing about big, heavy blades... the more you use them the lighter they feel. I worked with my AK and FFBM for about an hour today. Then I picked up my NO-E and it felt like a cardboard cutout. ;)

i Hear Alot Of People Asking If You Were To Only Have One Knife In Say A Backpackers, Survival, Grab And Go Bag (bug Out Bag) Or Emergency Situation On What Would It Be And How Long, But Has Anyone Asked:

If You Were To Only Have One Knife, What Weight Would You Like It To Be??

I Know That There Are A Lot Of Personal Preferences Like The Longer Bigger Choppers Like The Bm Or A Khukuri Which I Think Are Excellent Choices. Theses Are Heavier And Longer Than Something Like A Skinny Ash1, Sjtac Or A Batac Which I Think Are Also Excellent Choices. The Smaller Like The Rat3, Bad And Brkt Bravo 1 Are Very Popular Also.

A Heavier Knife Has The Advantage Of Being A Better Chopper For Shelter Building, Slashing, Bush Clearing And Possibly Defensive Against A Large Animal (not Sure But It May Be An Option). A Smaller Knife Has The Obverse Weight Reduction So That It's Easier And Handier To Carry. Easier To Cut Smaller Objects, Skinning, Better At Small Utility Tasks.

Multiple Knifes Would Probably Be The Best. I.e. A Big And A Small One. But If It Was Just One You Could Take. Lighter Would Be Nicer To Carry But Heaver Is Better For Chopping.

What Do You Think Is The Ideal Knife And It's Weight Would Be??
About This Much!
