I've been acquiring & collecting knives since I was 6-7 years old (I'm 52) and my collection is 95% traditionals, but I do like modern folders as well as they obviously have their place. I've had at least 40 Spydies, 10 BMs, dozen or so Kershaws/Zts and a few CRKs and everyone of them have been great knives period. I had never considered a Strider but for whatever reason got the bug a while back. I struck up a trade and received a new lockup, ranger green, SnG double gunner grip. It's a damn fine knife. Light, solid and CPM154 steel. The ergos are better than it might appear and the choil very useful. The grip is fantastic & probably not good on the slacks, but neither is any aggressive G10. No, it is not an extreme precision knife like a Seb, but neither is it a slouch. The blade is centered, detent great, lockup perfect & easy to open with both the oval hole and blade stops. Like many of the unique, expensive knives, it's likely a very personal taste. If you have been on the fence about getting one, I'd say go for it. I sat on the fence about CRKs for years and when I pulled the trigger I finally "got it". Anyway, here is some testosterone laden show & tell.
