I'm a gear junky by nature- but my funds are limited, so I spend almost all of my extra money on knives. Other things I "collect" are guns, guitars/ music equipment, art, and art supplies.
As a professional artist, I have a ridiculous amount of pens, paint, brushes, paper etc. I have literally thousands of various pens and brushes strewn everywhere. My wife and I have always collected art, the most valuable things we own are hanging on our walls. We have way more than we can possibly hang in our little place, so most of what we have is stacked away somewhere.
I think I'm done with guitars for a while, I have all the guitars I'll ever need and more. I've pared my collection down to just my (American) G&L S-500 custom, and my American Standard Telecaster. I have a nice Jazz Bass too- that theoretically I'd like to trade up to an American version of, but I honestly haven't been able to find anything wrong with my Mexican one.
I think I'm pretty well set on the gun front- I have almost everything I could ever need. I'd like a bolt-action rifle and an AR, but other than that, I'm good. With handguns, I'm totally set. But for some reason, I can't stop buying knives. I have way more than I could ever need in several lifetimes, but for some reason, it's never enough.
