I'm back again!

kozak, even if the beer has less-than-optimal amount of hops, drinking more beer should make up for it. That way, even if the beer has no antibiotic value, it will have tremendous anesthetic value. Even if you aren't better, you'll sure feel better!

Coronach...

Bwahahahahahaha!

Actually, as I mentioned in another thread, i first got into khukris looking for something to supplement other knives etc that I have. i first got the idea of khuks at a large sporting goods store near me that had in the display case...a Cold Steel LTC. I was looking for reviews of this thing when I stumbled on Cliff's reviews of the 20" AK, and that's how I found the HI website.

So if uncle Bill can educate us all about real khkuris, I feel we need to educate him about real beer.

Speaking of being back and computers, a while back I told of the story of art alphonse and craig breedlove being pulled over on a beer run, and some one told of how art used to write notes next to the holes in his garage's walls when he blew a piston thru the wall.

At the time I thought things were going swimmingly with my new puter and me. The 'puter may be a Compaq, but the software is the Marquis de Sade edition. ( SM - not MS, or maybe microsoft is diversifying ).

Thanks for AM laugh, Rusty. And, Tom, thanks for encouragement. I'll start drinking more beer. I've been limiting myself to two or three per evening but I can now see this is a mistake.

Seriously, Bill, take care of yourself.
You dodged the bullet by having your "problems" AFTER you got back from Nepal where they wouldn't have been able to take proper care of you, and this infection got nipped in the Bud (or in the Heinieken, if you prefer) just in time.
So the higher powers are definitely looking out for you, but don't push your luck.

Get well, and preferably, stay well!

One more thing about beer that was recently reported is that it may be better for the heart than drinking red wine in that it reduces the levels of homocysteine which have been found to be higher in heart attack patients. Red wine would be excellent(particularly the Canadian Merlot from the Niagara Peninsula) for helping with respect to high cholesterol levels. Apparently one of the B vitamins is increased and I would think that unfiltered beer would be even better in this respect. Either that or Uncle Bill needs to get into the vegemite/marmite habit(also made from yeast).

In all, moderate drinking (one to two drinks a day) has been shown to be of good benefit to ones cardiovascular health.
