I'm done buying knives (with pics)

I've felt the same way for awhile. I keep trying things out, from crazy midtech's, to traditional. But I can't find the knife to end with. So I always said, if I'm gonna stop this crazy ride, I have to stop where I started, which is with a Balisong. So, this week I picked up a BM32.

I'd say get a Gold membership, sell off what you don't love, and explore some more.

Lotta nice knives out there.

are these for sale or just in the wrong area

Neither. I was just showing off my knives at the time. I've sold some and bought a couple but not too many. The Rift is still my perfect knife and main EDC.

Looking at that picture I have picked up some more Manix 2: the blue, green and pink so I have all the sprint runs. Also a few of the M4 Rift limited editions, the Lionsteel SR-1, and a user Camillus Dominator. And I got a large Bone collector as well as a M4 AFCK (806BK-901) and a large and small M4 Ritter Griptilian. Oh and the Kershaw Volt.

Well I guess I haven't quit after all. But I am definitely more picky these days.

I am disabled and not working so you wouldn't get much of anything. I spend the little bit of money left over from paying medical bills and buying medicine on the occasional knife. I shouldn't buy them but they make me happy which is important to me with all the other mess going on.

Hey man I feel bad for joking about, sorry. I too am unemployed. Agreed though, knives can make me feel better most of the time.

Sweet collection you got there. It seems to me that once this hobby starts it can get out of hand pretty quick. Saw some guys youtube video and he accumulated his collection pretty fast in a matter of a few months. I use all of mine and plan to hand them down or gifts from time to time.

We only get one go-round at this life, so if buying a knife once in a while makes you happy (provided you are not sacrificing anything considered a necessity), I say do it.

Not a big fan of Emerson knives. Between the liner locks and the chisel grinds there's not much I like that I have seen. I might mod some of them but most of the Spyderco's l think would look pretty awkward. The way the blade has such a hump to allow for the hole, a wave would just be a big half circle hook that would look terrible. That or look like Charlie Mike's skirmish  That's a knife only a father could love, no offense. :foot:
Edit: Here is a good example why I probably won't wave any of the spydercos

Shhhhh, don't let Charlie Mike hear you. You'd crush him! LOL!
Well, if you decide you will gift any knives away, I'm always a PM away. ;)

I only bought two high end knives and may get one more, three total and thats it. I don't see much need for a chopper, so my high end collection will stay with fixed blades less than 5 inches.

Well, I am a user too. I buy knives to use. I won't buy any duplicates except for my chinook 3, my manix 2, my endura 4....Oh heck first it was just the one. :D

Well if you ever want to get rid of the Mini Skirmish and that Nagara, you know where to find me ;)

Yeah I'm about to stop buying knives too, In the end I'm looking to own 3 knives, However I have about 6 or so now.

The only 3 knives I'll ever need

1. Strider SMF (got that already)
2. Rick Hinderer Xm-18 3.5" flipper black scales (need to get it)
3. Microtech Scarab double edge blade half serrated each side (don't own)

I would add sebenza but their "nickel and dime you to death warranty" sucks.

see thats what i said 2 months ago when i was very happy with my collection

since then i have gotten myself:
rift x 2, another manix2, nimravus, cs recon1, al mar sere 2000, leatherman charge tti, paragon asheville OTF, microtech halo V

sigh.

That is just a shame! You have 1 too many 710-801s. I'll take one so that you balance out.

Wow. So, are S90V and ZDP189 that much better than the other steels? I'm slowly drifting toward the idea of trading off some of my knives in order to go to one or three very high end steel offerings. I'm not 100% sold on the idea, though.

Somebody else please go first.

Very nice. "I don't call myself a collector" Ha! Don't lie who has 2 CF manix 2's(and a whole array of other beauts) and doesn't call themselves a collector! Remember a collection means more than 1 and the CF is a collectible:D BTW never seen a 930 kulgera before but man does that thing whisper my name!
Best,
Gabriel.
