I just spent a half hour sending Ebay notices on auctions for fake, Cold Steel AK47, knives coming out of China. They all have black blades and no locks on the side, so those are easy. If we each did that for a knife we knew were bogus maybe we can slow the buggers down some. Not all the fakes come directly from China, people are buying them off Chinese websites and reselling them on Ebay. This really starting to Piss me off.

I hear you. I reported the same knife you are talking about yesterday. Over the month I have reported a fake benchmade and 2 fake Spyderco's.....and their auctions are still going strong. So much for Ebays safe harbor.

I've done such with a few auctions, but it rarely seems to have any long term affect.

Can't really blame eBay, though. Such a wide variety of goods are sold on the site it would be impossible to effectively police the site against fakes.

Then, too, there are malicious reporter of auctions.

In a way, I find it amazing there is so little fakery going on. The intrinsic honesty of people, I guess.

See what really grinds me is that I have reported a large number of the fake Benchmades, and nothing ever happens. When i find a great deal on a balisong on ebay, it always seems to get pulled before it closes. Wouldn't you call that double standards?

fwiw.arent butterfly/balisongs a prohibited item so will get an auction closed without debate..

The Chinese are making enough profit off of Cold Steel without faking their designs. Aren't they ripping themselves off by the inherent nature of Cold Steel's foreign-based product plan?

The Asian market is essentially hurting each other here---the Chinese are ripping off their own product, as well as those of Taiwan and Japan. When you step back and look at it, it hardly makes sense.

What really grinds my gears are the fake Spydercos, etc.

I will only purchase from real stores, so they cant take advantage of my bad eyes with their many trickeries.

On the same subject but another note I recently confronted a seller on ebay regarding a clearly fake cold Steel folder. He was very cavalier when he readily admitted that he was selling counterfeit products, got on his high horse when I mentioned that what he is doing is not only against ebay policy, but is illegal as well. Accused me of harassment and told me not to contact him again. Asked why I was busting his balls since he is such a stellar ebay seller with 100% positive feedback. I can only surmise that the counterfeit knife is a decent quality, so he buyers are too stupid to post negative feedback. shrug . That was a week ago, when I reported the auction to so-called ebay security. As usual ebay responded by saying that they would certainly look into the matter but couldn't inform me of what, if any action was taken, due to privacy restrictions. What a crock! They don't get back to you because they never take any action.

I noticed today that the auction ended with a sale, with no removal of the auction. So, the seller is a crook, ebay is crooked ( since they knowingly take their commissions from ebay fees and Paypal fees.).... On several fraudulent sales of this same item. The entire venue is a joke. The culprit and his product is below, in case he has the balls to list it again, at least some of you can avoid being ripped off. is listed below:

Wow OP, I sincerely and truthfully want your life. If people selling counterfeits on Ebay angers you this much, that tells me that you don't have a lot of major concerns in your life. I am truly envious, man.

Over in the Exchange section, you will find a heading labeled "For Sale by Dealers". Supporting them supports the Forums.

You will not receive a counterfeit knife from them. They have stellar customer service records. Huge selection.

You will be considerably less steamed over a transaction with one of them.

If you want to fight fakes then this has worked for me: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ckoff-Buck-Knives-amp-Americans-Who-Sell-Them

My method: 1. create a resource that anyone can view/understand quickly showing fakes and American based fakers. 2. Contact American sellers of fakes (fakers) and ask this simple question: "Are you aware that your item is fake, counterfeit, knockoff? To view fakes and American fake sellers simply google: 2015 fake counterfeit knockoff Buck knives and American who sell them"

This works to reduce American fakers. There are a small number of criminals that won't care a nit. Most sellers pull their ads and thank me, really. The off shore fakers are impossible to influence AFAIK so I only focus on Americans.

. You seem to be as upset with my post as I am by counterfeiters. Talking about calling the kettle black. I suppose you know what you can do with your snarky sarcasm, right . :D

No sweat, King. I hadn't seen that it was a zombie thread, so I was digging for something positive there. Kinda like tripping, recovering real quick, and firing off a quick "I meant to do that!" :)

I did appreciate the heads up though. Thanks for nudging me and pointing. Yer from Burien... I dig that.
