I'm ready to go right now. I've got my scopes all dialed in on the Marlin 1894 .44MAG and the .22. Got all my bags packed. Got my knives packed up. I can't wait for Saturday. There isn't a pig, koyote, squirrel, bird, rabbit, or fox safe on that property. Every signle one of them is walking around with a target on 'em.
 
Will do guys. I'm taking my camera. Hopefully I'll be better about taking pictures than I usually am.
 
Do not leave nature alone. Enjoy nature, hunt responsible, hunt safe and eat what you kill, except maybe the coyote. You can make me some slippers with the fur!

This reminds me of the eulogy given at a funeral I went to recently of a real outdoorsman type.
"XXX loved to be outdoors. He loved the sound of the wind, the rush of the waves. He loved to go and see God's creation, to marvel at God's creation, to be in God's creation. And if all went well, to shoot God's creation."

I hope you do well and have a good time Dyslide. Would love to go hog hunting myself someday. Looks like I might be doing some yote hunting this weekend, which I'm really looking forward to. Will be using a brother to your gun, a Marlin 336 in .30-30.

Here in Iowa, the DNR has stated that if you see a feral pig, you are supposed to shoot it on sight.

Unfortunately, the problem is not in my part of the state.:(
 
In Tejon Ranch off I5 south of Bakersfield CA, the wild pig non native Russian Silverback populations need to be managed. We can thank/blame the Spaniards for them. The owners of the ranch have regular pig o ramas to maintain the population of the pigs TO A MANAGEABLE SIZE so there is enough forage for deer, (a native species). Any foolish person that wants to go hug pigs because "killing is murder", has no idea about wild life management, maintenance of herds, and habitat preservation. Subaru's post shows how little he/she knows about what truly is going on in the interior of the good ol USA. There I was nice.....I did not bring out the You Tube rant of "Leave Brittney Alone!" which reminds me of "Leave Nature Alone" But someone else can if you wanna.:D:D:D Subaru, please stop drinkin the kool aid!
 
right on man.. have fun...:thumbup: and definately take some pics..:) i haven't hunted any hogs in years...:( they're all over this area...

I agree with you 100% most conservation Depts know a lot about what is best for nature. That is why the allow hunting to dense out over populated area that could lead to starvation and horrible deaths is the animals are not maintained.
 
Sounds like good times, enjoying being out in the field, life etc...

But I hate you right now because you made me hungry :D
