I'm going pig killin this weekend.

Dyl, PM me later. I've got a place in SC, no season on pigs.

knock the hogs down. The habitat destruction when they feed is really something to see when they are in groups. It takes years to recover, not to mention erosion etc. If deer is in season or you have frozen deer, wild pig and deer sausage blended 50/50 is unbeleivably good and you don't have to add fat just bone the two and grind.

Leave nature alone.

I know some of you gave this dude (or chick if that's the case... or trans, whatever) a hard time. To be honest, I completely agree with what they said. I do think that it is very important to leave nature alone. Mother nature and God have a plan. Things are designed a certain way in order to keep the balance of the world and to support life. Life as well as nature are very precious and each life is special... especially mine. I WILL leave nature alone. Unfortunately for these poor creatures who are unable to communicate at a human level, use advance reasoning and problem solving, or operate any sort of technology, they are at a disadvantage. Also, unfortunately for them, it is my nature to take the life of other animals and consume their flesh for the nourishment of my body and to sustain healthy levels of proteins and such. Since it is my NATURE to do these things, who am I to change it. It would be very arrogant of me to try to change God and Mother Nature's plan. Therefore, I will LEAVE NATURE ALONE, just like he/she/it said. :D

P.S. I tried to be a vegetarian once to get in this girls pants. I just don't enjoy near as much eating the stuff that food eats. :D

Of course I will. I EDC an RC-4 and an Izula. Anytime you run into me outside my house (and usually inside my house) I have an RC-4, an Izula, my Leatherman Charge TTi, and a gun. I remember that stuff before I remember my wallet! lol

Seven more hours to go! Then I am on my way. Tomorrow the "Great Pig Holocaust of '09" will commence.

I eat meat, I'm no vegan. I just think eating a farm raised hog is alot better than shooting some skinny ass wild boar thats meat will taste like testicals. Have fun with that!

Not trying to bust your balls, I also prefer the taste of farm raised animals for the most part, but on the whole, an animal harvested from the wild will have been treated much more humanely and will have ingested far fewer chemicals than their farm raised brethren.

And if you buy into the Al Gore, new wave tree hugger mentality, farm raised animals and their consumption are part of the problem.

Do you want to kill the earf?

I'm sorry. You said, "Leave nature alone." Now you're trying to tell me this is a taste issue? Which one would you like to address?

Even if this was simply about taste and not about your original statement, or your backpedaling and subject changing thereafter, taste is a matter of opinion. I like the taste of wild meat. I don't necessarily like it more than the taste of farm raised when it comes to all animals, but I do like the variety in tastes. Plus, I enjoy more the sport of the hunt.

On a side note, I've eaten testicals. Try some mountain oysters or lamb fries. Good stuff.

You and I have apparently not seen or eaten the same wild hogs. I have only had an opportunity to pig hunt twice and the several hogs that we harvested were NOT skinny and oh boy were they tasty! This was years ago in FL.

I've gotten to go hog hunting 2 times since moving to Tx., didn't see a single pig either time. Then, about a month ago, not hunting, saw a crapload of hogs on my friends ranch. I didn't have my gun on me but he did.:D

So I still haven't gotten one yet but I have plenty of meat.

My brother and I are going up to Toledo Bend next month and hunting hogs from kayaks. Should be intresting.

Have fun gutting the hogs! I've had hog from the wild, Definitely not skinny. Fat ass delicious pork. God I love it. This is how god wanted us to eat! And use our rats :)
