Greetings,
What thickness of backing should be used (0.006, 0.007, 0.013, 0.014, 0.017 etc)?
This is a very interesting topic for me to follow as I purchased 4 board feet of some incredible black & white and Mun ebony. The B&W is 8" wide, 2" thick and 4' long. I only purchased 1/2 the board and had it cut in half. The next couple days it started forming small cracks about 1/8" deep. The Mun did not crack at all. I waxed both ends now and have them stored. I was told they were dry when I picked them up, but now I am worried to use them, since reading all the concerns on ebony.
Will stabilizing work with ebony?
Dennis
