I got a transfer at work, and I'm moving to Springdale, AR this weekend.

I know I've got to look up Dozier and Russell right here in town, and Krein and Koster around the corner in Gentry, but I'll bet there are more I haven't realized yet.

I also want to connect with the blacksmith's group, if there is one. And the homebrew club, whose web page I already found. :D

But I may have to lay low a little while; we're having a baby first week of November. Big changes on the horizon!

Mike,

Springdale is a very nice area, I'm up that way quite a bit--I live in central Arkansas. You might want to join the AR Knifemakers Association. They have a good show in Little Rock coming up in Feb. Welcome to Arkansas.

When you get settled in, give me a call about the Blacksmiths Organization of Arkansas, I live in Rogers # 479-636-6755 and I also make a few knives.

I am two towns over in Greenland. Great place to live, and close access to lots of good stuff for makers. Congrats on the
new baby!!!

Thanks guys! I'll follow up on all these leads in the next weeks and months. :)
AGR, "Rives Junction, MI", that was me. Moved to Spring Arbor, MI right about two years ago... now, of course, it'll be Mike Cantrell, Springdale, AR for the forseeable future.

Arkansas is quite the little hidin hole for knifemakers. Welcome to your new home and I hope you enjoy it as well as I do. The NW corner of Arkansas is some of the prettiest countryside you'll find anywhere in our great country.

Wow, guys. It almost makes me want to move to AR just to be around all the great folks! Sounds like you are going to have a blast, Mike.

Good luck to you and your growing family!

Hey Dan, thanks!
Yep, we're here, getting settled in; even had the baby (safe and sound). So I'm not sleeping much, but I'll give you a ring here soon. I'd love to come see you. :)

Mike,
I work at the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock and they have a nice knife gallery. Lots of neat stuff. Stop in and see it and just ask for me and I'll show you around. You actually join the AKA right there if you like. Lin lin@arkansasheritage.org
