I'm NOT A RECOMMENDED BUYER on ebay.

Where did you get the "RUSTY KNIVES WITH CRACKED BONE SCALES" text? The OP states the display was not mint, I don't read anything about the knives.

I like Amazon for the reason you described. I just wish the German and British Amazon would have US prices.

From post #9 where I quoted the feedback from the site left by both parties, maybe?

What's so strange about it?
The entire product including the knives is called a "display".

I'm not a native English speaker so I will take your word on that.
But if you read the other comments I'm not the only one thinking the knives and display are two separate items.

I took it that "the Display" was the case and the knives. I also read that they had rust. So I did not understand why the OP was being beat up.

No one is getting beat up, please. This forum is called "Feedback" for a reason, not "Pease agree with me no matter what".

Pictures are considered a full description if there is no text stating otherwise. Since the seller stated the knives as mint, he misrepresented them.

If you have two descriptions contradicting each other, then it is automatically not as described. End of story, the seller messed up.

You can blame it on the buyer, but there will always be another buyer that will do the same thing. If the sale ad is wrong from the start, then you can lay no blame on the buyer.

Should he of paid closer attention? Yes, but people take a sale ad at face value all the time, without inspecting little details. If this was blade forums, and someone missed a flaw in the picture, people would not let it slide on a NIB sale.
