:thumbup: I'm in total agreement. This subforum if frequented by some of the most mature albeit perverted old men I've ever met online, and yet you would think we were sharing the forum with a sunday school class. Always seemed a bit backward to me. I doubt ten year olds are here reading up on knives they won't be able to afford for 20 years, just as much as I doubt guys are sitting here surfing the forums with toddlers on their laps having "who wants to watch daddy read obsessively about extemely expensive knives" time. Riveting for a child, I'm sure. And even if I'm totally wrong, kids go to school and watch television, right? Keeping bikini clad women and jerkit smilies off the forum ins't saving them from anything. I mean, you could take your kids to the beach, and they would be exposed to just as much graphic material.

I made a request, if you don't like it please feel free to ignore it. However, here's something to think about that I haven't mentioned yet, whether you like it or not if you post frequently on this forum what you do here, reflects upon Busse Combat. So do you think that Jerry would like some of these pictures hung up at his Blade show booth? If not, then you should consider how it reflects upon Busse Combat, because what people see here is associated with Busse Combat, good or bad. (this is true, I know of people that don't post on certain forums or buy certain products because of how the forumites, not the manufacturer act)

C'mon Eric, that's pretty weak. So now I have to worry about how what I post reflects on Busse Combat Company!? Do I also have to worry about how what I watch on my Sony TV reflects on the Sony Company? Or how I drive my car reflects on the auto manufacturer?
 
I honestly hope that NO ONE is foolish enough to take my words as being representative of anything Jerry Busse says or has ever said!
Now, if someone wants to start paying me a decent salary to say only nice things about Busse knives and give up my honest opinions, [which may be a bit disagreeable at times] then I'll be glad to be part of censorship. Otherwise, my words are my own, and I take everyone else's words as only theirs, with the possible exception of the mods, and yourself and Busse company employees.

That's absolutely fine with me. THIS IS A FORUM! That means we discuss things, some people may consider them controversial, but as long as they're within the rules, we shouldn't have to worry.

I disagree with this as well. If the conduct of the buyers were a factor in my purchases, I probably wouldn't purcahse anything. I've seen morons parade around their zealot love for every brand I purchase, as well as acts and statements that are less than acceptable. The owner and employees of the company are who represent it, not the buyers. You cannot possibly expect to put any sort of responsibilty for a company's reputation on anybody but the company itself. Do you really think Busse has lost any business based on bikini or wet Tshirt avatars? Come on, now.

I feel the need to reittierate that I mean no disrespect to Eric or anybody else. I am fully aware of the quality of Eric's charater, as he has gone out of his way personally for me as well, but when arguing weighty issues like the ones surronding this thread, nobody gets special treatment. I have nothing but respect for Eric, but I will repress my honest opinions for no man.
