I'm now drooling for a bk9

This has to be a disease. I just ordered the 2, but know without question I'll be ordering the 9 soon. Good luck with yours, and play hard. It's hard not to get psyched up with the talent here. Some of these blades leave you in complete envy.

If you have a Nine and a Sixteen or a Nine and an Eleven you have almost all your bases covered pretty well.....

Heck, a 9 by itself can cover all your bases in a pinch. It chops, batons, slices, and whittles if need be. It's incredibly versatile for such a large blade.

I remember being amazed when I pulled it out of the box at how unbelievably light and balanced it is.

No joke. Every time someone holds one for the first time they always say how surprised they are at the light weight and how well it does for small tasks. I still prefer to carry some kind of smaller FB but you'd be fairly well off with just the 9.

I have to agree. I couldn't believe how well mine felt when I took it out of the box for the first time. It's much more agile than it looks. On that note I'm going to go retrieve it from the bedroom, I now have the urge to fiddle with it after looking at this thread.

Bk2 and bk17 are sitting here. They're telling me they wanna see their big brother the bk9 :) 12 more days

Nice :D They'll love their big brother (and so will you),my BK2 and BK11 sure do love their BK9 brother :D

Yep, I think what sets the 9 apart from its competitors such as the Junglas is the lightweight/agility. I think its a great overall "survival" knife because it really can be a 1 knife only option and only weighs 1lb.

I've been seriously lusting after a BK4. I feel you guys' pain. If it wasn't for my wife's car being fixed after last week's accident, my car's water pump blowing up, and us looking for a new apartment, I'd have one already.

Soon...

I love becker knives so much...

Maybe too much, my wife thinks so

So close!!

Does the ramp at the top actually come in handy ? And does it come with the little knife in the front , think it's called a remora , or do I have to buy that separately ?

The Remoras came as a special offer, I haven't seen that offer lately. You'll more than likely have to buy one separate unless you bought from a company that had some left. I like the ramp on my other Beckers, but for some reason I de-ramped my 9. It seems better somehow now, but I still miss the ramp sometimes.
