I'm Off to Texas!!!!

I'm happy for you Phil!!!!
Can't wait to see the first pic of you in a cowboy outfit! :)
Take care and have a safe trip to the wide open spaces!!!
God Bless!
Michael

Best of luck with your move! I lived in Houston for just short of a year in '86-'87 and loved the layout of the freeways ...basically 2 (probably 3 by now) large beltways with lots of radials out of downtown. That and the shopping were my favorites.
Oh yeah, and there was a gunshow within easy driving distance almost every weekend!!

They say attitude counts for a lot (I wont say everything since effort and results have to be coupled into the equation.)

You will do well Phil.

Make sure you get a bumper sticker/tee-shirt/tattoo that says "I wasn't born in Texas - but I got here as fast as I could". You'll make lotsa friends. :D

Dang!! Mycroft beat me to it.

It took me some getting used to moving from Germany to Central Texas (Fort Hood). Everyone is right, the first couple of summers took some getting used to. Now my home is in Dallas/Fort Worth (stationed in GA), I love it!!!

Hope you enjoy it.

Regards,

Nick

It'll be just a tad colder up here with you gone... sniff. :(

Now GWANNN--Beat it! ;) :D ;)

Best to you and your family, my friend.

You lucky, lucky bast*d! :)

Phil - all the best. We're never too old to 'IMPROVE' our lives, are we?

"Will exchange knives for work permit." Seriously.

(See you at Blade-2005?)

Geez, it looks like we were so busy manning the border to the south that we left the one to the north unguarded and some vermin came in the backdoor. Oh well, welcome to Texas anyhow Phil and may the kite flying winds blow in your favor!

BTW, when you drive through Crawford, ask Dubya what knife he likes for clearing brush.
:D
;)
:D

Yo Phil!!

Congrats on your escape from behind the 'Iron Curtain' !! :)

Regards,

Pat

Hey Phil- Can't believe I missed this thread! Best of luck & Godspeed buddy.
Good luck on your move & the new life!
Maybe you'll make a NYC show every once in a while? I'm due to get back up there myself soon- maybe I'll trump YOU on a stag Easler next time :p (Just kiddin' pal- you got that one fair & square.)
Good Luck!
Mike

I want to thank everyone for their posts and well wishes.
I'm one week away and I'm really excited. I still have some packing and shipping to do, but I'm basically good to go.

I posted on another thread that covers what the plans are for the next six months.

The March show in NYC is out of the question, but I hope to see a bunch of you at Blade 2005. I haven't booked it yet, but unless I fall flat on my face I'll be there.
