I'm ready to give up on GEC.

cards94 - Enjoy your search for knives in the future and I hope you enjoy knives for a long time into the future.

Great offer Ed

How long you want to let it stand before you give up is up to you of course

The generosity on this forum gets me choked up sometimes. Heck of a nice group here and restores my faith in good people coming to this forum because when you get back from being out in the rat race all day, you sometimes feel like nobody gives a sh*t outside of family.:D

Guys - cards94 turned down my offer. That's perfectly fine. Please - no negative comments or anything like that - not that I think any of you would do so.

I'm only posting this so there are no more comments on the offer.

There were a couple of very good things that came out of this, one of them is that Cards now knows that his Grail knife was made by GEC

Well done Ed, every step of the way.

Actions and communications like yours here encourage all of us towards our better selves.

Thank you.

A negative situation turned positive by a very kind gent....my hats off to both of you as smiles are shared by all.

Ed, your offer was very generous.

thanks, i've been looking on there but didn't find what i'm looking for. 72 lockback clip point in plum bone.

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet :)
Eventualy,GEC will have another run of 72,with single clip and wood scales, and i will be ready :D

I like the 72's. I have one in Burnt orange, Green bone, and Cocobolo. All have the clip point blade.
I am always looking at vendor sites for new versions. I really can't bring myself to buy one with a Wharncliffe or a Spear blade. Just can't see the appeal.
I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like those two versions sell as well either.

I know that feeling well also. I also remember eyeballing a pretty blue WLST on a dealers site, only to have it disappear one day. Funny thing is, Pertinux popped up here a few days later with what looked to be it's twin......hmmmm suspicious.

My disappointment was a WLST too! I missed the last run of all steel 25s, wanted a single blade sheepsfoot in ebony. Found one on a UK site ("even more luck" thinks I) but it was a no go.
