I'm sick...any suggestions?

A laugh now and then is very good medicine for any illness -- or even when there is no illness for that matter.

You're welcome. Glad to hear you're feeling better. The salt/sugar isn't a long-term solution(!) though, get in some light food (toast - with or without butter, soup, etc.) if you can keep it down.

A Package? :D :)

Uncle Bill I did get my special order yesterday and I must say I'm very happy! I'll make a post on it later as soon as I get the time, hopefully this afternoon.

That is very kind of them and you! I can't wait to see what it is!

I already have my next order lined up but I better get the last one paid for first!:D

I started feeling quezzy yesterday at work and today I'm worse! I went to work this morning and started to feel bad again and I could't finnish out my shift! This is the first time I missed work in almost 5 years! I'm never sick and I'm not one to pay the doctor big bucks if I can get myself well(that is less $$ to have for khuks anyway!).
My symptoms are an upset stomach(like really mean buttrerflys in there) my upper body is sore and stiff, cold and hot flashes slight headach and the real nasty one, hershey squrts!!:barf: No vomiting yet but I feel like I might if I move around at all.

I did get a flu shot so I'm guessing it might be a virus.

If any of you know a trick to knock this thing out please let me know! I'll be gratefull for any help!

Sorry to post this. I thought If I could get any advice at all that I don't know of it could help me get well that much faster!!

Thanks for the time!

Fri lunch till Sat late AM is a long gestation for food poisening. Almost too long to be food poisoning.

I feel for you, because when my stomach goes, I go.

...what's amazing is that this thread is from 02-24-2002! Not exactly sure why codeofthesammuri brought it back to life???

If you check page 1, you'll see I still posting as billpaxton then

Oh and BTW, I hope Dave's stomach is all better by now :)

While hanging out in Cuzco,Peru the word from the trekkers was to stick with soups that had been recently boiled.

Those who strayed from that rule usually had 3 to 4 days of projectile diarrhea, vomiting and stained pants.

I got ill from a Wendy's burger in Daleville,Alabama in 1984 and haven't eaten in a fast food joint since that day. :grumpy:

This is the longest case of food poisening on record, then.

I didn't notice the date.

A day late and a dollar short....

Keep Gingerale in the fridge at all times!!! Also keep a big bottle of the pink stuff(ie. Pepto Dismal)

BRAT is easy to remember..

Banana's

Rice cereal(although regular rice is fine and teriyaki sauce can be used...it has Ginger in it and that's good for the tummy)

Applesauce

Toast

Hope this helps sometime.

Dr. Mom  :footinmou

Thanks Mamav!!

I like all four of those and would only add some form of gentle soup like chicken/tomato/cream of celery.BRATS :)
