I'm sick, lost my DPX HEST

I have one. I know how you must feel.

I once hung a fine pair of prized Gargoyles on my T-shirt collar by the earpiece before I got on the highway on my Harley. Was too lazy to take my helmet off and put the glasses back on. Got on the Interstate....three-four miles down the road I reach up for my glasses. Nope! I learned a lot from that feeling and remember it well.

It's why I don't carry clipped. If I did it would be to my belt and not my pocket.

Losing something that you really like is tough, but guys, let's remember that i survived a Cardiac Arrest last November, a month later my G Bladder burst with gangrene. Between the two, a month and a half in a hospital. So putting things in perspective I can get through losing a knife. A lot of you helped me get through the surgeries and I appreciate you letting an old dummy bitch and whine a bit.

Knife returned. It was found by my grand daughter next to a rose bush in my back yard. I was trimming the roses and dropped it. She gets a new bike. (due anyway) Clip still loose so I will probably order a new clip. My wife said not to cancel the one I ordered bacause losing one of them is just a matter of time. :o

Glad you found it!

Also - very nice to see RYP reaching out to you!!!

Eric

ps: weren't you using the HEST to trim the roses?

I make a habit of tightening my clips every so often. It seem some manufacturers clips bend easier than others. Just tightened my Brous Bionic moments ago. I've yet to lose one. Sorry for your loss. May the person who finds it fall in a hole and burn in hell.
Roflmao what the hell kind of reply was that?

Awesome! New bike, old knife back, new knife on the way, Everybody wins!!. Well, now you gotta do something special for your wife, then Everybody wins!!

I meant as in if someone stole it or something. Not like a family member or friend finding it and giving it back.

Just lost my beloved Military after about a year of carry. Hopefully it turns up like yours did. If not maybe I'll have an excuse to finally get the titanium version ;)

I'm very sorry Nathan. I actually prayed to St. Anthony the finder of lost stuff. I'll pray for you, my wife says it helps and my knife turned up.

That is awesome so glad to hear it.

fantastic news....I know I would be one upset mofo if I lost my Milspec model

Sorry to hear that! I have lost a BM Bone collector wood handles....I luckily retraced my steps and found it in the grass.

I also lost a P'Kal I pimped...I looked all over for days and days...I had no idea where it went..I was sick to my stomach. I finally found it laying under some cloths when I was doing laundry. I have no idea how it got there. I bent the clip to hold more tightly.

Retrace your steps and maybe you'll find it. Good luck!

Yeah my daughter was furious with herself when she lost her Hest. They were in the field for a week training and she thought she must have brushed up against a tree or when she slid down a hill during night land nav. By the time she realized it was gone it was too late to go back and search for it.

IMO the clip is a weak design on the HEST/F. Mine comes loose all the time and I've more or less stopped carrying it in favor of other knives. If they stuck with a two/three screw design that was drilled on the right/left hand sides of the knife, it'd be better tensioned and more secure.
