Dang.

First a home-bead-blasted, cool-lookin FSH. Some Hog PM's the guy and grabs it.

Then the A2 SHSH. First Steelnut snags it from under all of us, THEN he trades it away. Double-hoggedness.

I never thought to PM anyone on anything. I'm just too nice, I guess.

Sure, I make my scores. That's for sure. But I do it from brute-force search engine work.

Anyone got some cheese for my whine??? ;)
 
The trough can be brutal.

Get in there and throw a few elbows.

And quitcher whinin'. :D
 
I just don`t have the required spending money to be a HOG !

I`d rather be too polite than too broke to be a HOG ! lol
 
They don't call 'em hogs for nuthin'. Just like the piggies they are, they wolf the infi all down without even chewin'. Then when they get back from the trough they puke up a bunch of fat ladies and what not and if their belly(credit card) can't hold it all they throw it back onto ebay. If somebody could film these boars stomping away on their keyboards when a certain skunk comes up with some feed, I'm sure Darwinists would tell us that man is not descended from the apes but from the paleolithic hoary boar.
 
Dennis, I don't think it is rude at all to PM someone about a knife.

I have done it several times and am pretty sure no one has mined one bit.

As long as your as polite in the PM as you are here I am almost sure no one would mind.

I'm a piglet, so I am having some trouble finding a few I want, If I do find it will prob be through a PM as they don't come up on the exchange much. May take a while, but thats part of the fun for me.

As far as the Hogs go, I think Most of there dealings are done through PM's.

Edit- If I do buy one that is on the exchange through a PM I go back and put the " I'll take it" to avoid problems
 
Note to Dennis. This is not an acceptable approach to PM'ing:

"Sell me your MOASH, or I'll track you down and beat you with a cast iron pipe."

I've tried it. It doesn't work. :D

Being polite IS a HOG quality in my mind Dennis... and there's also nothing wrong with a polite PM either. So... PM away brother.

I have to admit... some of the greed around the trough lately is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. For those of you that think you ALWAYS need to be on the winning side of a deal… well to be blunt… go pound sand. Me personally, I’m in this because I love knives… not for the greed. I believe that a little give and a little take is the best practice... and that there is usually a deal where both parties can come out with a win. But all I seem to run up against lately is TAKE, TAKE, TAKE. What ever happened to helping a brother hog or piglet out??? I don’t know… maybe it’s why I haven’t been posting a lot and maybe I need a little break for a while.

Sorry for the rant, but I’m sure that I’m not the only one that feels this way. And I’m sure most of you could care less what I think… But I’ve said my piece, and feel better for it.

Most of the really good deals take place through pm's or e-mail. I never hesitate to ask someone if they are willing to deal on a knife. :D
 
The "Way of the Hog" is a most challenging path indeed. Many have been trampled under hoof in their quest for INFI. We must be strong! ;)

Well Said Tykron... I'm just a piglet and may never be a HOG, could get trampled yet...but will try my best to be strong.

A polite HOG gets no INFI! As Jerry has said the HOGS can be a nasty bunch willing to trample their own grandmothers to get more steel. Sharpen up those tusks and hooves (Sus scrofa style) and dive in.

OK, OK. I get it. Polite emails are fine. I'll double my INFI chances.

And no, you can't all have my secrets of searching, nor my Co Store secret tricks. (I have two. Haven't used either in about 6 months.)

That happens every day. Don't you worry about that.

Everyone here is a giver. We give our passion, our money for INFI, our INFI for money, space in our homes to store INFI between uses. These are the donations that make wonderful lives even better.
 
Yea when Gravelface badgered me for my Badger that was cool.:thumbup:

But it did made me feel sorry for all the hot women I use to politely badger for their um.... "badgers" when I was younger... like just yesterday:eek: :foot:

Like I had a choice not to trade that BBSHSH!
5 or 6 hogs hot on my tail offering INFI you can't refuse.
I deceded to let it go to someone who was REALLY excited about it and get something that was out of reach for me....the MOASH!!!:eek: :eek:

Hey...if your not going to use those secrets anymore PM them to me.
 
A little polite, "hey are you planning on parting with X or Y in the future, if so I am interested" or "I see you have X on the exchange would you consider taking Y for it?" never hurts. But sometimes it gets a bit much. It is for this very reason that there is likely never to be another picture of my collection going up here. When I first posted that pic I got an inbox full of offers. Some I didn't mind others where down right insulting and absurd.

PMing and emailing never hurts if it is a serious offer. Heck I'll admit I made an offer on those recent BBSHSH/SHBA finds, but Steelnut beat me to it big time. No regrets.
