My Demko Barong on my Barong Tagalog (traditional Filipino shirt made from pineapple fibers)
nice.

im digging the shirt. I grow pineapples and I know what happens when ya hit a frond with a weedwhacker. it turns into strings and jams it up tight....... and breaking the strings that get created and wound up, aint fun. I imagine a shirt made of these fibers is very durable. very cool......I want one now. gonna have to go hunting......

not to get off topic too much but man those pina silk pineapples thread shirts are pricey. look like hand made super high quality..but think im stickin with my cotton.....

What happened to Demkos, just not even one year ago they were highly desirable and now they are all over the place. Frequent drops just killed it. Why Demkos-why ?

I'd guess that they're not in business to raise the value of our collections...and they're making hay while the sun shines.

You can't blame them. If they artificially limited production it would raise values for collectors and scalpers, but as it is now, they're selling pretty much all they're producing at premium prices...except for several of the imported models.

I hear you but probably not all Demkos fault. They launched in 2019 I believe and then the secondary knife market in general went absolutely crazy for the next 4 years which gave an inflated picture of real demand. I imagine they ramped up production numbers to meet the demand but when the secondary dried up, the real demand was less by some percentage. They probably have to buy all the materials and make production plans months in advance and cannot just turn down production or get out of the contracts they have committed to overseas manufactures. I believe several makers fell into this same situation regarding secondary markets falling off like Oz, Koenig, GEC …

I remember some of the most rabid fans at Bladeshow Atlanta about 4 years ago were the Demko guys, some camped out on the sidewalk for days to be first in line.

And I like rule number 1 Yo Mama Yo Mama , always have a Demko!!! Don’t tell CRK or Hinderer I said so.

Blues you are right , chasing knives is an addiction. I need to slow down a bit lol
Few are more guilty than I am...but if it doesn't keep us from handling our responsibilities, I don't see it as a bad thing. Hell, you have to be able to enjoy things along the way. And there's a lot of worse ways than this...IMO.
