In Memoriam Give Away-Our Porch Members

It's sad to remember those that have passed, but it also helps us recall the good times also, so that's not so bad either. Not an entry, but thanks for letting us talk about some of our knife friends that have passed.

I didn't know Ron Half/Stop Half/Stop as well as I should have, but I did have the privilege of doing some work for him, so that's a nice memory!

Of course, Bob BigBiscuit BigBiscuit , well he was larger than life on the forums. Quick with witty banter or a helpful post. The oldest PM I have saved is the last conversation I had with him, purchasing this Gipetto. It is special to me...

I also did a number of knives for him, who knows what happened to them. My favorite knife I did for him however was a gift. I sent it to him with the caveat that he should freely and without guilt sell it, should he ever need the funds, which he did. I had the chance later to buy it back from another member, which I did...

Thank you Josh Rockon75 Rockon75 for a generous & honoring GAW. Congrats to Harry. Lots of wonderful memories shared here. That's what the Porch is all about.

I am really sorry if I am holding up progress my friends . I try to stay off the computer during the day so that I will stay physically busy . At almost 81 years old it takes me a lot longer to get done what I did 30 years ago . I have E-Mailed my choice but if Rockon75 Rockon75 wants me to make a choice , I can do that so that things can move on .

Harry

Sure Harry, pick away my friend. Congrats Old Engineer Old Engineer . Also, please send me you mailing information please. Again, congrats!
Here are the choices.
Thank you very much for this thread Josh . When Ron and I sat on a porch in September of 2020 , we talked about a lot of things and people that we have met on the Forums and at the Rendezvous and I know that Ron really enjoyed you and you great little guys at the 2019 Rendezvous . He did not go to all of them , but he did try to get a Rendezvous Knife when he went and he seemed to only get there early enough to only get one with a #3 Serial Number . So if you go this year , try to get the Serial Number 3 . That means that you have to get in line around 12:00 to 2:00 A.M.
I WILL CHOOSE the RED JIGGED BONE on the Far Right . I have a bunch of Northfields , but None of that model , and I like Red Jigged Bone .

Harry

Yes, Sir. I will get that headed your way. Thank you for the kind words. We all had fun at that 2019 Rendezvous. I had all intentions of getting up there this year with the boys, but life has gotten in the way. We are so busy with sports, extra tutoring for my oldest, boy scouts, don't get me wrong, being busy is good, but there are only 24 hours in a day. All these posts have been a real pleasure.
Take care
