I finally have some time to post some pictures of this VERY NICE knife that Josh has so generously gifted to me VIA Charlie waynorth waynorth
It is , and will always be , a Special knife to me and I carry my Special Knives in a slip and all my new knives eventually get their pictures taken on my old LF&C wooden box . The Slip was made by one of our friends . JohnDF JohnDF . The knife is a Northfield 828218 in Elderberry Jigged Bone .

GEC called this their Possum Skinner . Now I do not have to buy cans of this . I can have some Fresh Stuff

and use this Recipe .

This knife will cause me to always remember our old friends who have gone on before us and be Thankful for the ones that we still have .
Thank you very much Josh

You are most welcome! Enjoy that "fresh stuff", lol.....

I've handled a lot of dead possums and I never once thought it would be a good idea to skin one, much less eat it.

That recipe is a real toe curler! :D

A dead possum is really repulsive. "Remove the head and tail, if desired". You would desire, I assure you.

I just stumbled into this thread. Great stories and memories

I had no idea Derek Bohn of KSF had passed. I did not know him, but he sold me my first GEC. I'd still like to visit the store sometime during one of my many Tennessee trips.
