This is indeed a sad and joyous memory time for me. I am remembering all the happiness Uncle Bill and I had together with each other and Rusty and all you loyal Forumites. March 28, 2005 was indeed a sad day for me as I told Uncle Bill farewell in his life and only hours later his friend, Rusty. I do very much appreciate all the hard work by Howard, Yvsa, Nasty, Munk, Steve , Jake and Ted have done to continue the Forum in sprit that Uncle Bill and Rusty entrusted to all of us. Please give a special thought to Uncle Bill and Rusty this day that they might know they have not been forgotten and we are trying to carry on what Uncle Bill started. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Auntie my condolences... I never had the honor of "knowing" them, but they clearly left their mark on the world. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I never had the pleasure to talk with UB but I have enjoyed reading his old posts.

Yangdu I think you have done a great job in continuing his efforts. I think the longtime forum members and mods have also done a great job as well. :D

I know I'll do my part to support HI and the kamis.

Their spirits live on through you, Yangdu, and your work. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share a part of them and their generosity. Blessings to you and HI, always.

Eric

Dear Yangdu,

Some anniversaries are tough, but I'm so glad that you are keeping his efforts going. I never knew Rusty or Uncle Bill, and I wish I had. All I can say is that the UB on my knives is a constant, and very nice, reminder of what he accomplished.

The good they have done for so many people lives on through you.
May today be filled with the best memories.

Yangdu,
Thanks for continuing in the spirit of Uncle Bill. I am sorry I didn't discover Himalayan Imports and your traditions until recently, I would have enjoyed knowing Uncle Bill.

My condolences and I hope you have many good memories of the happy times you shared together.

We are sending sage and sweetgrass smoke up for a loved one that passed this week. Uncle Bill and Rusty are also in our hearts as we remember.

Peace and Light to Yangdu and our Forum Friends

Smoke for those that have Walked before us, and green bottle tipped back in memory:thumbup:

ok... somebody explain the smoke reference? I'm sure it is a Nepalese custom and the curious want to know.

thanks,
Michael
