Let me catch my breath, real beauties being posted here. I have two, a Case TB teardrop (which has to be the best looking case knife I have) pic taken from KW web site and a Northwoods Norfolk (which is simply wonderful)

Thanks, my friend. Sorry for the old pics. This thread sure did fill up fast with some exceptional knives. I am digging Ed's sweet layout!!

And...yours and Jake and Robin and Gary and .....lol:D

Awesome idea for a thread, ebony has become one of my favorites. All of you have some fine examples of this awesome material:thumbup:
Here's a few pics of my current ebonies. Have had quite a few over the past few years, but these are the only two left after downsizing to just a few users. I rescaled the 501 in ebony, and the 92 has been my main edc for a while now.

That has a very "tuxedo" look, doesn't it? Very classy!

The ebony Case humpback stockman with Zulu spear main blade has been posted elsewhere, but since I happened to put mine in my pocket after work before looking at the days threads, I decided I'd post an additional pic anyways. It's a lovely knife. I'm quite partial to mine and will likely buy more knives with ebony covers in the coming years.

Nice looking trio you have there, Jeff. The color variance shows up well in your photo.

Thanks RDaneel.
The earlier 15's (on the outside) have a more open grain with a marbled brown & black pattern, while the last run 15 (middle) has a very tight grain jet black appearance.
Great pics everyone, definitely one of my favorite woods to turn.

Did not know that. I'll have to get one of the earlier ones someday. :) I have two like the one in the middle.

What? I turn my back for a day or so to celebrate the Midsummer Holiday here - not bad this year a mixture of heavy showers, brilliant sun, rainbows and of course Midnight Sun, it never really gets dark here now even if solstice is not for a couple more days, better than last year where it actually snowed in some places, sick:eek:

Tremendous contributions everyone, Ebony is impressive stuff hence I called it the Prince of Woods (well, couldn't call it the prince of darkness now could I?? :D:D ) It is tough, inspiring yet mellow, even a modern made knife looks like it has an authentic heritage. Oddly, I don't have a lot of Ebony but I carry the Owl very regularly and like any Traditional knife, the more it sees your pocket the better it looks makes no difference if it's bone, horn, wood or stag, carry endows character.

Please share some more if you will. Here's a Queen QCCC Teardrop that I'm very fond of, the polish is deep makes me think of crocus of old.....

Ed, I noticed you crocused the blades to a satin finish. How do you like it? I had to crocus my sheepsfoot to remove scratches, and I'm debating doing the rest of them.
