Yep, we got hit in Penn's woods again!
Nothing quite like last year's back to back 2 footers, but I'm looking at about 15 inches of fresh snow from the two snowfalls in the last 24 hours, with a fairly thick layer of sleet in between. I decided to get up early...well, early for me...to get a jump on clearing this white stuff, but the snowplows haven't made it to my 'hood yet and still haven't made an appearance as I post this over 2 hours later...so instead I figured I'd post up the pix I shot while waiting.

Beautiful! :) ...But it's gonna be a PITA to dig out from!!! :grumpy:

I pulled out the OINKficial Busse snow measuring ruler...I mean AK-47 sword...

Granted, some of this depth is from previous snowfall... mebbe 3-4 inches...but most of this is fresh!

Hope everybody in this mess is safe & warm! :)

Stay safe Alex and everybody over there. Man, I wish you could send a little of that over here. We just haven't had our fair share this year. ;)

Thanxx, man. :) ...Hey, feel free to drop by and take as much as you want! ...FREE!!! You know me, I'm a giver like that... ;) :D:D

Nice! We got hammered here in the city too... I have no such Busse snow measuring device. The Infi I have is not long enough....

I know how you feel man!! We had back to back snow falls that totaled about 18 inches last week.
Now we seem to be in the "eye of the storm". It's been calm and warm and now that dump is slowly melting away.
These pics are of the first one.

Wow! Love the pics! While I do like to look at snow, I'm not real big on spending time in it. Love the INFI depth finder.

I'm out in western Chester County... Pretty sure you saw about the same amount (+/-)...which is a major PITA for the city, since they're much more limited on where to put it. Hope you're warm & comfy, with no need to leave home (except mebbe for some fun)! :)

Send some of that calm warmth this way, willya??? ;) Nice pix!

D I T T O!! ...I call snow the Beautiful PITA. I love to watch it fall, but pretty much about 15-30 minutes after it stops, I begin wishing it gone. :D

Great pics!!!

I feel your pain brother - at least we have a SNOW DAY today (im a history teacher). We got 19" in Central Park which set a new record.

Got the roof and hood and sides cleaned off, but we gave up digging her out and are going to buy a proper shovel later, not a sled :D

Good news is we dont need the car until tomorrow afternoon!

We got about 3-4 inches here. Not too bad if the snow plows wouldn't push all that snow on my sidewalk for me to shovel, it would be getter =)

Nowhere to put it is right! The plow pushes it to the curb and against the parked cars, then people dig out thier cars and put it on the sidewalk or back in the street, then people shovel the sidewalk and put it back into the empty parking spots or in the street........ rinse and repeat :) My insane neighbor across the street was shoveling out front of her house at 3 in the morning.... metal shovel + concrete at 3AM made quite a racket. She also kept going outside to sweep the snow off of her window ledges...totally nuts, she kept waking up my wife and 7 month old son, I wanted to bean her with a snowball soooo bad.

Definitely warm and cozy, I stayed home form work, have a big bottle of Buffalo trace, some Ginger Ale, two cases of beer, and a new 1911 to clean :)

Stay warm!

19"!!! ...Man, where the heck can you put the snow??? ...That's the one thing that has me glad that I'm not in the city, be it Philly or NYC. At least here, I have a yard to throw the snow in. (which is good, 'cause I gave up shovelling years ago in favor of a snow thrower.)
Cool pix!!

Oh, man... yer killin' me!;):D:D ...But I hear ya on the sidewalk thing...I have a fairly long stretch that I have to clear too. That's why I'm waiting for the plows to come through first, 'cause I ain't doing this crap twice!! ...The plow wall from this will be at least 4+ feet high. :grumpy:

That looks like a day's work! Hope it's not too much of a PITA. Those pics make me want to cook some chili, light a fire, and crack open a cold one.

I ALMOST feel guilty wearin' a sweatshirt when it's 61 outside. And that it's been mid-70's for the last couple weeks in Southern California. Almost.

wow,,im glad i live in so-cal when i see pics like that.brrrrrrrr too cold.
try to stay warm!!

Overall it's been a good year for me so far, NYC and what not got hit harder. Usually up here in the Poconos we get more snow, for the ski sloops and whatnot but it's been light. I'm glad. It's been cold enough so the resorts can make their own snow =)
